The above are parts of what make up a culture. You could think in terms of collectivist and individualistic cultures. Collectivist looks at the society as a whole and each person contributes to that society, such as Chinese thinking or Japan. The Chinese worked at the Great Wall of China as a country effort, over many years, all working together no matter how long it took. Individualist cultures, as in the U.S., focus on the individual success story as morally good. Rockefeller, Reagan, Sinatra, Keller, Hilary Clinton, and Bill Clinton, Lincoln, are all individuals looked upon in individualist society as good.
The eight types of culture are: Daily life, History, Social Groups, Arts, Government Language, Religion and Economy.
Polyaxenic culture refers to a type of tissue or cell culture in which multiple types of organisms are present in the media, allowing for interactions between them. This type of culture can be more complex than axenic cultures, which only feature a single type of organism, and is often used to study more realistic and intricate ecological relationships between different organisms.
The way people communicate heavily depends on culture. Verbal communication can have different meanings and connotations depending on culture, and nonverbal communication is different among different cultures. This can cause a lot of cross-cultural communication barriers.
Culture shock refers to the feeling of disorientation and discomfort that someone may experience when they are immersed in a culture or environment that is different from their own. It can include feelings of confusion, anxiety, and uncertainty as a result of unfamiliar customs, language, or social norms. Over time, individuals typically adapt and adjust to the new culture.
There are millions of cultures in the world. There's the American culture, the English, the Irish, the Scottish, the French, the Spanish, the Chinese, the Indian, the Egyptian, the Argentine, etc.; the list just goes on and on. Regions, states, cities, etc. also have their own culture. For example there is the Californian culture, the Western European culture, the Parisian culture, the Pacific Island culture, etc. Any place you can think of most likely has its own culture.
