it actually takes as long as as it takes you to run, ive started training for a month now as im joining the ROYAL AIR FORCE Regiment as a gunner, which requires high physical fitness. my first 3 mile run took 30 mins approx plus walking a bit. i joined the gym and did excercises on the bike and a bit of running machines but not treadmill as i find it hard to get motivated to carry on. i cycled nearly 10 miles in 30 mins twice a week, plus 20 mins on various types of running machines twice a week, and also a easy 3 mile run on the weekends. every 2 weeks id try to get a best time on a 3 mile run. which i was ending up knocking minutes off. my current best time as of 23/02/2010 is 19minutes. but im hoping of reaching a target of 17 minutes. keep working hard to reach targets. and remember NO PAIN, NO GAIN
It would take the team three hours to run 20 miles.
Oh, honey, you're asking me to predict the future? I'm good, but not that good. Mile times vary for thirteen-year-old girls depending on their fitness level and training. Just get out there, run your heart out, and see what time you clock - that's the only way to find out.
26 miles in three hours is an average of about 6 minutes 55 seconds per mile.
If you run a mile in 4 minutes and 32 seconds, you average 13.235 miles per hour.
Well, the average is 10 minutes for 1 mile, so... if you take 8 minutes to run 5 miles... That's really fast.
(.25 miles / 3 minutes) * (60 minutes / 1 hr) = (.25 * 60)/3 = 5 mph If you run a quarter mile in 3 minutes, your average speed is 5 mph.
it's pretty good. that means you can run a mile in six minutes consistently.
not really because it takes the average person to run one mile in 6 minutes
5 mph (miles per hour)
7.5 miles per hour.
You would have to keep an average pace of about 12mph (that is, miles per hour) to finish the mile in 5 minutes
To run one mile in five minutes, you would have to run at an average speed of 60/5 = 12 miles per hour.
An average of 4mph.
Luke can run a mile in 7 minutes, so it would take him 77 minutes to run 11 miles (7 minutes x 11 miles). Collen can run a mile in 5 minutes, taking 55 minutes for 11 miles (5 minutes x 11 miles). Therefore, it would take Luke 22 minutes longer than Collen to run 11 miles (77 minutes - 55 minutes).
