You should probably define what g means in this question, but I'm just gonna throw out a guess of 75.5g.

If your question was, "what is the average of 68 and 83? You would find the average by adding 68 plus 83, which results in the answer 151. You would then divide 151 by 2, as you are trying to find the average between the two numbers, which is most likely right in the middle somewhere, say, on a number line. Same theory.

Otherwise, I have no idea what g means, but say, if g were just a letter, not representing anything other than g, relative to x and y, then the average of 68g and 83g would thus result in 75.5g.
