Too much... You spend almost 1/3 of your life sleeping to start off. Average full time employee works at LEAST 40 hours a week. I personally work 45-55 hours a week. So roughly 30 percent of my life will be spent working, now this doesn't include travel time... getting ready for work/bed.
Sum up=
1/3 Sleep
1/3 Work
1/3 Free time/ Getting ready for Sleep/Work
Life sucks
The first 8 hrs your working, building your boss's dreams. That's what gets you by. The next 8 hrs you can decide to build your Dreams, that's what will get you ahead. A man without a dream shall perish.
Not everyone spends 7 hrs a day watching t.v The average person does, but successful people spend the 1/3 of that free time building their dreams so they don't have to spend 1/3 of their life imprisoned at a JOB being a SLAVE to another MAN!
I know that's what the School Systems and most of our parents teach us but there ARE options that allow ANYONE to build their dreams.
life doesnt have to suck.
If someone works 40 hours a week from the time they are 21 until they are 55 and live the average of of 75 years then they will have spent about 10% of their life working, or nearly 8 years. However this is no longer a typical person's worklife. Many people begin working before they are 21 and/or work well past age 55. Someone who works 40 hours per week from age 18 to age 65 will have spent approximately 14% of their life working, or almost 11 years of their life. Of course many people also work a lot more than 40 hours per week, perhaps in a managerial or executive position or working multiple jobs. An overachiever of this kind who works 60 hours per week from age 21 to age 65 will have spent over 20% of their life working, or 15 years of their life. And there are many other variations as well.
On average, people spend about 30% of their adult lives working. This can vary depending on factors such as job responsibilities, work hours, and retirement age.
