Throughout the 50s Chevy & Ford were the most popular by far. The biggest seller in a sports car was the 55-57 Thunderbird. the Corvette introduced in 1953 was not a good seller until 1955 and even then was outsold by the Thunderbird. There are 3 model years that are real classics. The 1955-57 Chevrolet's are considered the most sought after 50s model classics.
