Why was there a Blood Crip truce?

Some Blood and Crip sets in certain areas have a truce with one another, but it's not like that everywhere & even in the places where they do have a truce there's still gonna be tension between the two. As far as the truce with the Bloods and Crips in certain areas go, SOMETIMES Bloods and Crips will work together if they share a mutual enemy...Here's an example........

The Mexican Mafia is HUGE like really HUGE in numbers and they will shoot Bloods and Crips so SOMETIMES Bloods and Crips will click up to help each other take out the very LARGE Mexican Mafia...And it has nothing to do with a race war as many would think I mean yeah sometimes it can come into place but it's just simply that the Mexican Mafia could care less about any gang that's not under their control.
