Well to answer your question, the Dixie flag represents the South as it was which was the fight to keep slavery legal. That is what the #1 point of the war was about. So to many people when you fly the Dixie flag you are in essence saying you dont believe in the American or (Union ) flag and you thing the slaves should not have been freed. Now personally I think one of the greatest things about this country is freedom of speech so you have every right in the world to fly your Dixie flag and dont let anyone tell you any different. But there is the reason why you take a little heat.
