A thermostat exchange involves replacing an existing thermostat with a new one, typically to improve temperature control, enhance energy efficiency, or upgrade to a programmable or smart model. This process usually entails removing the old thermostat, disconnecting the wiring, and installing the new unit according to the manufacturer's instructions. Proper installation ensures accurate temperature regulation and can lead to cost savings on energy bills. It's advisable to consult a professional if you're unsure about the installation process.

Under the housing where the lower radiator hose attaches.
Follow your top radiator hose. The thermostat will be in that housing just remove the two bolts that hold it on.
It is directly behind the radiator. To change this the radiator would have to be removed and emptied in order to change it.
