The number of floors depends on the skyscraper. There is currently no clear definition of a skyscraper; that is to say, it is not specified how tall something must be to be a skyscraper. As such, skyscrapers are usually just considered above average height buildings. Back in the 1800s the eight story tall Equitable Life Building in New York was considered a skyscraper, whereas now, eight stories is no grand feat. Today most buildings people consider skyscrapers as being over 500 feet tall. Taking into account that each story is roughly 10 feet tall, that would mark a skyscraper as being at least 50 stories. I hope this helped. -Ben "Josiah"
In order for a building to be considered a skyscraper, it must be at least 12 stories high. There is no specific height after that. Some famous skyscrapers include the Empire State Building, the Elephant Tower, The Shard, and the Chrysler Building.

A smooth surface typically has the least amount of friction compared to rough surfaces. Friction is lower on smooth surfaces because there are fewer irregularities that can impede motion. Examples of smooth surfaces with low friction include ice, waxed hardwood floors, or polished metal.
