The Center position in basketball is definitely the heart of the frontcourt. Ideally, a center is the tallest person on any given team. Defensively, a center rebounds, defends the post to prevent easy buckets, and plays help defense. Offensively, a center plays the post and battles the opposing center for a position to score, sets screens, and go for offensive rebounds. The thing that separates Centers are the attributes of finesse and power. Finesse centers use fakes, spin moves, and speed to blow by defenders using hook shots, fadeaways, etc. Power centers use brute force to plow their way to the basket.

if there is a ref you should try to keep the ball below your waist but can go as high as your shoulder. If it is pick-up you can generally get away with anything up to and including your forehead at full standing height. Make sure to put your hand underneath the ball at least once per dribble for maximum control/style. Shuffle your feet constantly while the ball is in your hand/palm. upon receiving the ball (make sure to call for it constantly) you can take 2-5 steps in any direction you wish before putting the ball down and starting your move. a good idea is to take one big dribble, pause at the top with your hand under the ball, and then take little steps (if executed properly there should be an audible squeaking) until your defender looks confused then shoot at will from anywhere on the court while shouting "and one!!!" as loud as you can regardless of how close your shot is to going in.Remember that YOU are fresh like KOBE and KOBE NEVER PASSES. Anyone who questions your dribbleing or shot selection is hating on you.

Try it! If you aren't out of breath, bowled over with hands resting on your upper legs and gasping with sweat pouring off you then you haven't played a good basketball game. Watch the players. They run back and forth, twisting, turning, jumping for that almighty goal in the basket. It's great exercise and fun. The one nice thing about basketball is you can play by yourself (practicing getting the balls in the hoop) or you can play with another people or a group of people. For example someone is going for a layup and i push them against the wall. with out even trying to block there shot.

It is Important to follow through in netball because even the best shooter in the world still occasionally misses and if you miss you need to be there ready to get the rebound. If you manage to get the rebound you have an extra chance to score a goal. However if you didn't follow the ball after you shot, and you missed and the other team got the ball then they could score an extra point instead of you. If you manage to get the rebound every time you miss a goal and score from the rebound you will end up with a high score. Hope you find this helpful
