Fish that have long, wavy fins should not be put with guppies, because guppies will nibble their long fins. Also, many bigger fish will eat guppies. Keep a separate tank with guppies and a few "cleaner" fish, which do not harm guppies.

Most livebearers breeding tanks are designed to keep the adult in and let the youngsters out. The idea is to stop the adult (mother) from eating her young.

You can find the gender of a guppy by looking at the anal fin. The anal fin is the closest fin to their tail below them. On a female it will look like a normal fin but on the male their will be 2 long skinny fins. The male is also much more colorful.

Guppies are fish, fish generally feel somewhat slimy but not as slimy as an amphibian like a frog or salamander.

Your guppy fry don't have to be one size, they have to be big enough so that other fish won't eat them. If you have any small fully grown fish then I think your guppy fry should be ok if they're that size. If you see any fish trying to eat them put them back in the breeding tank until they're a bit bigger.

and near the abdomen will be a blak spot witch will become bigger and bigger

when shes bout to deliver shell be on the bottom at the top hoverinf without moving near the heater or she can be goign up and down the sides of the tank non stop or

she could also pace 1 side to other real fast for no peticular reason 1 way is to view her at feeding time she will not eat for a week due to giving birth 1 week she wont eat if she stops it might be 1 week or less before birth they give birth to 1 to 100 or even a bit more depends put the babies in a breeder tank net or a nther tank and feed em crushed up flakes cause the pares and other fish will eat the babies due to their sall size they r 1/4 the size of the adults so be watchful lol i have raised over 80 guppies so i know what im talking bout anyway when they get double their size u can put em with the adults and they will develop color in 6 weeks or more depends on how much room and ther diet is too and if they ain't sick so gl with em i start at a very young age breedin em got rid of the lot and last year started back i started out with 1 ale 5 females and now i got in 1 year over 80 so gl with that lol

Bristlenose catfish (normal or albino), mollies, swordtails, black widows, some tetra species and sometimes bumblebee gobbies. There are many fish compatible with guppies.

Almost any community fish will do fine with guppies. Bettas are not a good idea with guppies because they will fight each other.

Guppies are great community fish and can live quite happily with most Tetras, Rasboras, Barbs, Anabantids, Dwarf Cichlids, Danios, Corydoras and many other species provided they don't get too big and eat the guppies.
