Are colonic irrigation's harmful when pregnant?
Theoretically you can have a colonic when you are pregnant although most responsible colonic practitioners would not recommend this doing the first twelve weeks of the pregnancy.
Always check with your doctor before undergoing this procedure when pregnant.
It is certainly preferable whenever possible to have colonics before and after pregnancy (can be great to help you get back in shape post pregnancy) and avoid treatments during the pregnancy itself.
If you have a history of miscarriage avoid colonic irrigation during pregnancy.

Does caster oil help with bowel movement?
It's an old fashioned remedy that is effective, but drastic. There are many other equally effective, but gentler remedies available at the pharmacy.
This is probably related to our bipedalism (upright position). Our abdominal organs are subject to gravity and tend to lean more heavily on the membranes that separate the intestines from the reproductive and urinary apparatus. Under certain circumstances (a specially intense effort, some malformation, etc.) the intestines will "fall" to a lower position if there is one (as in this case, which is only possible in males). In a quadruped, the intestines are in a different position and gravity does not have a similar effect. They may develop a hanging belly, but their abdominal organs do not tend to move to the rear.

It's very normal to 'drop a rose' at least once or twice a day, but if it's chronic (happening all the time) you should see your doctor. First see your doctors and discuss it with him/her. You will probably have a couple of x-rays to scans done on your stomach and intestinal tract to be sure all is well. You can take more Enzymes if that is what is needed, and there is medications for ulcers and other digestive problems.
