Not what you think. He hears about his wife's death, and just cannot deal with it. He says, "she should have died hereafter. There would have been a time for such a word." He is devastated by the loss of his wife, as is clear from his soliloquy thereafter in which he describes the meaninglessness of life, especially his own.

In Scene 1, Portia wants to know the secrets that Brutus is keeping about Caesar. She is getting frustrated toward Brutus because he is keeping secrets. She wants to know why he can't sleep. He tells her that he will tell her, but someone knocks at the door and the conversation is interrupted.

The complete, original sentence was 'By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes'. It was stated by one of the witches in Act 4 Scene 1 of the play 'Macbeth'… by William Shakespeare [baptized April 26, 1564-April 23, 1616].

The two murderers succeed in carrying out Macbeth's plan to kill Banquo. However, they fail in killing Fleance, Banquo's son, who manages to escape.

After seeing the ghost of Banquo appear during his banquet, Macbeth again becomes uneasy about whether his rise to power is guaranteed or not. He decides to consult the three witches for a final time.

The witches conjure three apparitions before him who give him three warnings/prophecies about his future. He is told to "beware Macduff," but is also told that "none of woman born shall harm" him. Finally, he is told that he will "never vanquish'd be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him."

These prophecies further inflate Macbeth's ego and belief that no one can harm him, but he decides to have Macduff's family killed for good measure. He soon learns that his interpreted the warnings incorrectly.

At the end of the play, Macduff, Malcolm, Siward, and other Scottish nobles organize to fight against Macbeth and his forces. They seek to overthrow Macbeth's tyrannical rule and restore rightful order to Scotland.
