How big do the dumbo octopuses get?
Dumbo octopuses are about the size of a beach ball. That's all I could find O.o sorry if that's not enough!
some octopuses have wierd scaly things, which is believed scales.others dont
Yes,sometimes. I think they do only if the octopus is dead...... but maybe not......
The octopus changes it's color to camouflage from it's predators. It will change colors sort of like the chameleon which is a lizard fond in continent of Africa octopus will camouflage in different places such as the places it lives in. Also in places like coral reefs, "blankets" of seaweed, oyster beds, etc.
yes. it is true that sence octopuses have to breathe in water, they drink the water in the tree that is saved up. that is why in the amazon or rain forest, the trees are dying, and some of the images are fake because people want to believe it but they cant if there are no photos so people fake the pictures so people think thay arent lieing or crazy.
Squid do not usually kill people. If they grab your SCUBA gear with their suckers, though, they might pull it loose and you could drown if you panic, but they're not usually deadly. They do bite, however, and that's painful because they have a hard beak.
*Note that tree octopi are not real. It is a hoax. (see the related question)
Ecological Information
Although mythological, the habits of the tree octopus are not completely unknown. Their diet probably is more carnivorous than herbivorous, as they are reported to have been observed consuming small amphibians such as tree frogs and toads, and particularly enjoy eggs and young hatchlings. Because of their highly developed olfactory sense, they unfortunately are attracted to the occasional running shoe which careless athletes in the Northwest tend to dispose of by tossing into the high branches of trees. These running shoes are deadly to the tree octopus as they are indigestible and have resulted in a number of confirmed deaths.
See the website listed below for further information and ways to support this critically endangered though entirely fictitious creature.
How do octopus reproduce sexually?
Yes this is very true. Males live long enough to reproduce with more females, but die within two months at most. Females lay their eggs in a secretive cave, and take care of her eggs for 6 whole months. Before they hatch she leaves and places herself to pass away in a small area. It is a triggered hormone that forces them to die after laying eggs, or in males case, after they mate. It is said that if the reproductive organs was removed for a female, she a longer chance of living. But I have never heard of this to happen, so perhaps it was just a rumor.

How many species of octopuses are there?
Squid are members of the class Cephalopoda, subclass Coleoidea, order Teuthida, of which there are two major suborders, Myopsina and Oegopsina (including the giant squids like Architeuthis dux). Teuthida is the largest of the cephalopod orders, edging out the octopuses (order Octopoda) for total number of species, with 298 classified into 28 families.
The order Teuthida is a member of the superorder Decapodiformes (from the Greek for "ten legs"). Two other orders of decapodiform cephalopods are also called squid, although they are taxonomically distinct from Teuthida and differ recognizably in their gross anatomical features. They are the bobtail squid of order Sepiolida and the Ram's Horn Squid of the monotypic order Spirulida. The Vampire Squid, however, is more closely related to the octopuses than to any of the squid.
