Can you get only a few strands of dreadlocks on your hair?
yes. I know people who have had two dreadlocks. one behind each ear. once they mature they should be hidden beneath your hair but they will slowly consume the hair around them. getting a couple dreads can be a fun trial run and if you shower with conditioner you should be able to take them out easily. (I have given 3 people a single dread and they had no problem taking it out immediately)
Females can have any length of hair, preferably in a pony tail. Males hair can't come below the ear lobe or touch the back of the collar. If longer than that, it must be tucked away, out of sight of the customer, in an AutoZone Dress Code approved hat.
Is warter good for your dreads?
absolutely!! Water is a natural moisturizer. Rinse your hair daily in the shower (depending on your length: 5 inches of hair = 5 minutes to rinse your hair. If your hair type is curly, it will lock up faster. After rinsing. squeeze the water out of your locs and your hair will dry faster. Use a black tshirt or lint free towel to cut down on lint buildup.
Your locs don't need a lot of product, just water and light oil. Please ignore all the products that advertise maintaining moisture in your hair. Don't use creams, waxes, or gel (except aloe 100%) products that promise to loc up your hair faster. The last thing a loc wearer needs is product build up in their locs.
If you have dry scalp then light oil 2x's a week on scalp only. I've been wearing and doing locs for 15years. I am a reformed product junkie, using all sorts of products of moisturizing and found water, plus rinsing with acv (with a few drops of your favorite essential oil) once a week after using the no poo method (diluted baking soda) will train your scalp to start producting the sebum in your scalp.
In hotter climates, I do is carry a small spray bottle of water (travel size bottles) w/ a few drops of essential oil and sprtiz more often.
In colder climates, rinse everyday. Do the rinses in the morning so that your hair can dry. Never go to sleep with wet locs because it will cause mildew within your locs.
the above answer is excelent (one of the best dread answers ive seen) however i will add that there is 1 product worthwhile , and its basicly water, with sea salt, and only fot young locks and should be rinsed out soon after (2 hours max), sea salt water helps dreads tighten early on.

What should you do if your hair color is fading?
There are a few things you could do if your hair color is fading.
One thing you could do is to start using shampoo that is proven to shine your hair. There are many kinds of shampoo that will be proven to shine your hair, which could rejuvenate your hair color.
Another thing you could do is to simply dye your hair. Most people do it when their hair color is fading, and is a faster, but less effective, alternative to waiting a while for the hair shining shampoo to kick in.

Whether men need to keep their hair cut depends on personal preference, lifestyle, and professional expectations. Ultimately, the decision should reflect individual style and comfort rather than societal pressure.
Is the Brazilian Keratin safe for Black women hair?
Yes It is safe to use in black womens hair. I am black and got it done a month ago and am happy with the results. Before I got it done I was trying to grow out a relaxer and hadn't gotten a relaxer since Dec. '07 and last month on the May 13th I got it done with a hair dresser named Nelly (212) 674-7247 she works in a hole in the wall salon in Manhattan but she is great and is very patient and explains everything as she is doing it. The smell is not that bad I was expecting it to horrible by the way most people describe it but at times I could barely even smell it. My hair was breaking at the ends before I got it done and now there is no breakage and it extra soft and does not frizz. The only draw back is if I want to put curls in it it doesn't hold past 2 days, but that's only because the product is doing what it is made to do straighten the hair. The new growth is not hard like when you have a relaxer and so I blow it out and it blends in with the straight part with out a problem. If anyone has any questions I will be more than happy to answer them email me at musicalnature@aol.com

Just a quick supplementary on this excellent comment:
Here in Brazil, where the Keratin treatment is known as Escova Progressiva, many black women use these products in 2 disctinctly different ways.
Keratin on black hair works really well on top of traditional relaxers, and helps maintain good condition and the relaxed effect.
But increasingly we're seeing people use Escova Progressiva as an ALTERNATIVE to relaxing. This is mainly for 2 reasons: First it's a lot kinder to the hair and second it prevents hair breakage, which is perfect if you're trying to grow your hair.
Any questions please feel free to message me via my facebook or at the blog - http://escovaprogress.com
Cheers.
How long does it take for you to grow a afro like Princeton?

foreplay on a kinky; not properly cleaned woman....or man O.O
Regarding the history and origins of dreadlocks, yes, they are old. They are probably the first worn hair style. I imagine thousands of years ago the neanderthals had pretty knotty locks. Sinse dreadlocks can form from simply not combing your hair, it makes sense that people long long ago had dreadlocks.
they have been around since history was recorded
the earliest bible verses mention dreadlocks and the earliest civilizations wore dreads.
What is the difference between kids perms and adult perms?
Kid perms are supposed to be gentler for usage since children's heads are more sensitive to products and chemicals, and their hair is closer to the way it was when they were born; that is, a bit softer.
Do you wash your dreadlocks when you first get them?
It depends on which method you have used to create your locks. If you are doing a neglect method, you need to keep your hair clean and regularly wash it using a residue-free shampoo.
If you are doing the back-combing method, you will not want to wash your locks for about a week to two weeks after backcombing your hair. After the first week or two, you will regularly wash your hair with a residue-free shampoo. Check out the links to buy some of this residue-free, all-natural shampoo.
As for a dread "perm" I have no idea, but whatever salon is giving you the dreadlock perm certainly should know the answer. don't wash it too much, and do it very delicately. try concentrating on the scalp, not on the hair... and in the bathtub it can be better than in the shower, that way you don't have the pressurised stream of water running down your hair.
Can be either dependent upon usage.
She had brown hair.
He had a few grey hairs. unless you are talking about all your hair then it is just hair and if you are reading this then wow
