After researching, this is what I found. Rochester only produced one model at there factory in Rochester NY in 1948. (Your model)

Kessler ( Made up of ex-Crosman employees) bought out Rochester and made the same rifle but called it the Kessler (Two-piece stock model).

Kessler went out of business in 1950 and Numrich arms purchased Kessler. Numrich may still have some parts on sale.

However I suggest you also do a search on "Air gun repair" on the web and locate someone near you to have it repaired.

BB guns are not designed for hunting. They are only effective for dispatching rodents and small birds at close range (20 feet or less.) Pellet guns are more accurate and can be used on small game, some pellet guns can be used on larger game, but these fire a much larger caliber like .25, 357, 9mm, 45, or 50 caliber, and have a much longer kill range.

Apply Gamo air gun oil to the Barrel pivit, two Cocking lever pivits and the Trigger pivit. Never put oil into the breech or the cylinder. Never use regular oil like "3-in-one" it will damage the seals.

What condition is it in. You need to give it some sort of rating like (Poor, fair, Good, Very Good or Excellent} in order for me to set an estimate of value. This model was discontinued in 1989.

The top 20 "BEST" PCP's is a matter of personal opinion.

Because PCP come in so many different calibers it's hard to say who is the best.

The most accurate and famous are Olympic Class PCP's like the Feinwerkbau (FWB) air rifles. This line is recognized as the finest and most accurate air rifles made. BUT they are only used for Olympic and target shooting and will set you back over $3000 each.

The most versatile one that I know of is the "AIR Force" Talon or Condor models. These have 12 different interchangeable barrels in different lengths and 4 different calibers. .177. .20 .22 .25 Cal.

The Benjamin Marauder PCP is one of the most popular and comes in .177 .22 and .25 cal and is affordable.

For pure beauty and power the Sam Yang 50 caliber packs a BIG punch. But do you really need 50 caliber. However they do make smaller calibers and excellent rifles.

Recently several other manufactures have entered the PCP market like Hatsan Evanix and Air Arms. All of them make quality PCP's.

So picking the top 20 is really a matter of "What you are going to use them for" is it Target practice, Small game, Large game or Competition. That a decision each person has to make for themselves. Personally I own four different PCP's Each has it's own purpose.

Benjamin made this model from 1946 to 1985, but did not start serializing them until 1957. I also have a Benjamin Franklin that has no serial number. Before 1957 it is not possible to set an exact date. Just know it's OLD.

The 137 is a .177 caliber pellet pistol the 132 is a .22 caliber pistol and the 130 is a BB pistol.

Crosman air gun company owns both the Benjamin and Sheridan line of air guns and rifles. The Benjamin rifles models are made in .177, .22 and .25 caliber. The Sheridan line is only made in .20 caliber. The name "Benjamin Sheridan" is no longer placed on any one model.

In the past Benjamin did make a 20 .cal pellet gun

Benjamin also makes a .357 caliber model named the Rogue.

What is the model and condition of the PISTOL. without more information it is not possible to answer you

it may kill a deer if you were lucky. But it is not the best choice for hunting deer. Remember a .22 pellet is the same size slug as a regular .22 cal bullet and I would not hunt deer with a .22 cal rifle. It's just a poor choice.

The Sheridan Silver streak air rifle was made from 1949 up to the 1990's after that it became the Blue Streak.

The Crosman 622 has been out of production since 1978. Crosman no longer even supports the air rifle. I know of no store that sells them anymore. Therefor if you find one for sale you will have to decide if you want to pay what the seller is asking. Beware this model has a high failure history.

I think you are asking about a model 106 Pistol ( I'm not sure) It was made from 1947 to 1953 in .22 caliber.

The model 101 is a pellet Rifle not a pellet Gun and was made from 1925 to 1950+. It was made in 9 variations one of them was from 1946 to 1950, but it's a rifle not a gun. "You did say Pellet gun." ( You will have to clear this up.)

When you ask for the value of a air gun or rifle then, you need to give me more information than "How much is it worth?" Let me explain. If I asked you "How much is my 56 T-bird worth?" The first thing you might ask is, "What condition is it in?" It could be a real gem or just a bucket of rust. It's the same with any antique. The current condition determines the value.

You need to give a description of the air gun or rifle, give it some sort of rating like, it's in (Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good or Excellent) shape. Or tell me that is looks well used or has very little wear. Something that gives me an idea of where to start. Without more information it is not possible to give you an estimate of value.

The Gamo PT-85 is designed to shoot Pellets not BB's. Here's why. The barrel in the PT-85 is rifled meaning it has grooved down the barrel that make the pellet spin as it leaved the barrel. Pellets have a soft skirt that catches the C02 blast. This skirt conforms to the grooves as it travels down the barrel. This spinning makes the pellet very accurate as it travels to the target.

BB's are usually fired from a smoothed bore barrel, much like a straw, BB tumble as they leave the barrel and can wander off target easily. When a BB is forced into a Pellet rifled barrel. It doesn't conform to the grooves, what it does is scrape the grooves off a little at a time. Each shot damages the barrel a little more making the rifle barrel worthless for pellets.

Forcing BB to be fired down a pellet barrel will ruin a very good rifle in a very short time. It will no longer be as accurate as it once was.

This pistol was made between 1978 and 1984. Crosman no longer supplies parts for this model, But the offer a free service to locate shops that repair older Crosman air guns.

The Model 122 is a .22 caliber pellet pistol, not a BB or .177 caliber pistol. Pump up the pistol, Not more than 10 pumps.

Open the breech by turning the knob at the rear. Pull it all the way back. Load the .22 pellet in the breech. The skirt faces the rear. Close the breech. Rotate the knob to lock it in place. Aim, release the safety and fire.

There are several independent shops that repair older Crosman air rifles. One of them may have what you need. Crosman offers a free service to direct you to these shops.

The Crosman 130 was made from 1955 to 1970. It is no longer on the market. The condition and demand determine the price you will pay. Anything Goes.

However if you had one that was brand new and still in the box it would sell for around $85 today.

It's very hard to change the power of the rifle without changing the components in the rifle. However it is possible to change the how the rifle reacts when firing the pellet.

Now don't confuse speed with power, they are two different things. You can change the speed of the pellet by simply adding a few drops of Crosman pellgun oil into your pellet tin and rolling the pellets around in the oil (Don't over oil) this will lubricate the pellets and the barrel. They will go faster but will still have about the same power.

Pellets come in different weights. A lightweight pellet will fly faster but will also drift off target easier due to cross wind. A heavy weighted pellet will fly slower, BUT will fly straighter and have more knock down power. Think of it this way. Your on a motorcycle and a fly hits you in the face, It hurts, but if a bumble bee hits you I the face it REALLY hurts.

Pellet shape makes a big difference. I suggest hollow point pellets for hunting, they mushroom on impact and make a cleaner kill.

Pellets are weighed by GRAIN. .177 come in 4.8 Grain up to 9.8 Grain. Believe me this makes a big difference in power.
