Yes, they are like a Husky, and most would prefer the cold. I have an Akita now, used to have a Husky that would sleep in the snow instead of her Igloo.
See below in Related Links for an example of a Husky and Akita mix.
Antennas go up at the fearful prospect of pitting dogs against one another in order to answer such a question. Forcing dogs to fight one another is a serious crime, and the hope is that this question will never ever be tested.
That said, such questions can be satisfactorily answered simply by considering the characteristics that were bred into the dogs while they were being developed. Akitas are fiercelyone-owner dogs; they are muscular, agile, and bred to defend. St Bernards are large, hearty warm and friendly dogs, comfortable in extreme Alpine conditions and are bred for rescue. This should be enough to draw a reasonable conclusion.
It's better to think of how a dog has been bred and for what purpose; this is especially helpful when determining what kind of dog a family should choose as a pet.
hi,
allot of people give there puppies puppy chow, but dog food is just dead poisened animals. so why feed your dog badly?
its been prooven that dogs live longer when they dont eat dog food.
you should feed your dog or dogs when babys cooked ground hamburger with cooked white rice.
when they get around 3 or 4 months then feed them what ever you eat.
