What made Amelia Earhart crash?
Nobody knows if she even did crash. -A considerable body of new evidence suggests that they landed on a very tiny island about 200 miles from Howland, where they were heading. -Bones and other artifacts including a jar of the same brand of face cream Amelia used have been found there. The island is tiny enough that at high tide, large waves wash over part of it and could have lifted the Electra and dropped it in deeper ocean nearby.

What where the inventions Amelia Earhart made?
While not an inventor in tne usual sense, there is some evidence- in a book by Doris Rich ( who died recently) That Amelia was involved in the promotion of some sort of photometer for photography ( or light meter) this was an advanced model probably intended for aerial photography- as she was a pilot. The promotional work was in the advanced stages in the mid-late thirties. Amelia"s disappearance kind of put the whole thing on ( Sour) and the product was never released. I have been a shutterbug over forty years and have never heard of one. I am familiar with Weston ( no Western), GE, Gossen, and other photometers, let us use the intelligent term. The subject is discussed in Rich"s biography NOT of Earhart, but of Jacqueline Cochran. It is discussed in several paragraphs, about the length of a ( spot) newspaper article. One can draw an analogy with say, a model racing car that is named in conjunction with some racing driver- then the guy gets killed in an accident, and the manufacturer sees this as bad luck- and changes the name of the product or some similar evasive action.

When did Amelia Earhart and George Palmer get divoreced?
I believe l935. For some odd reason- and Mr. Putnam (pronounced Putt ( as in golf-namm, not Put as in put-down)was an avid sponsor of her expeditions- which they really were- though some funding ( fuel I believe) for the Electra Project came from Gulf Oil- which explains the Orange stripes on the plane. The Gulf Oil company used surplus RB-37"s ( same type of plane) after the war as business transports, these bearing the Orange and white Gulf Oil logo. For some reason the Cause of the Earhart divorce- were never made public.

What was difficulties faced by Amelia Earhart to become an aviator?
Amelia's flying accomplishments proved influential to American pilots and pilots of the world alike. She was a creative impulse within the Ninety-Nines organization, and a stimulus for womankind to replace outdated social norms. She encouraged women to hold fast to their beliefs, follow their hearts, and always dare to dream.
"The more women fly, the more who become pilots, the quicker we will be recognized as an important factor in aviation," said Amelia. Her parting words to Louise Thaden, a fellow Ninety-Nine were, "If I should bop off, it'll be doing the thing that I've always most wanted to do."
By becoming the first woman to cross the Atlantic in an airplane, Amelia gained immediate fame. She is still remembered as the outstanding female pilot of her time. She did not, however, seek to set herself apart from other female pilots. Several female pilots, including the French Baroness Raymonde de Laroche, Bessica Raiche, Blanche Stuart Scott, Harriet Quimby, Laura Bromwell, Katherine Stinson, and Bessie Coleman helped pave the way for female aviators.
