The .50 caliber is larger in diameter than the .308. If you are referring to the bullets for the .50 BMG and the .308 Winchester, the .50 is MUCH heavier, and much longer than the .308.

+P means the cartridge has been loaded to higher pressures than a standard load. This will normally produce higher velocities as well.

A good question- one we don't really have a good answer for. This took place about 1000 years ago, and we don't have a lot of records. The earliest guns were crude cannon- and the first bullet may have been a large arrow or spear- so wood and bronze (or iron). Correct term is cartridges, not bullets. The 550-1 can fire Shorts, Longs, or Long Rifle cartridges. They are different lengths, so the capacity varies. It will hold 15 LR, 17 Longs, or 21 Shorts.

.17 HMR is a smaller calibre cartridge than the .22. There are several firearms which use the cartridge. The Henry Golden Boy is a lever action rifle available in this calibre, just to give an example.

um well i dont really understand your question but the bolt of a rifle loads in the shell and the fireing pin strikes the primer making it fire off the round. same thing basically for shotgun shell unless its a pump but the fireing pin is the same usually

Strongly agree with answer above. Your revolver is possibly caliber ,38 S&W (NOT .38 Special) If you were able to load and fire a .38 Super, it will likely destroy the gun- and will not do you a lot of good. Please have a gunsmith examine it and check caliber before shooting anything in it.

because when you buy a firearm it comes with two spend casings to show the fireing pin strike on the primer and if the pin strike is the same as the one on the casing that was used in a crime then they know it was your gun. the only way you can avoid this is to change the fireing pin with a different one.

It's a belt fed weapon. Capacity is limited only by how many belts you snap together.

There is no such thing as a ".38 Special +P" firearm - it's still a .38 Special, with some indication from the manufacturer that it is capable of handling the higher chamber pressures of the more heavily loaded +P cartridges. That's the only difference between a regular and a +P cartridge - more powder.
