What is the difference between a 30-30 and a 308 bullet?
None... it is the same sized bullet (.308 diameter). You have to choose the selection of bullet when reloading 30-30 ammo for the type of bullet. A pointed bullet in a tubular magazine can present a problem when the rifle recoils. The ammo is not interchangable, you must shoot the ammo that the rifle was chambered for.
by reference to 'luger' ammo, one believes it to be a 9mm cartridge, which is the cartrige for the German luger. however, there are many other pistol that were made to fire the 9mm luger cartridge.
in addition, the luger was also made in the '30 cal luger' which is a smaller bullet in a necked down cartridge.

Are there different 9mm bullets?
Yes, there are. There are different 9mm Cartridges, and different 9mm bullets (bullets being the part of the cartridge that comes out of the barrel. Some of the different cartridges are 9mm Parabellum (the everyday 9mm) 9mm Browning Long, 9mm Magnum, 9mm Largo, 9mm Kurz (the .380) 9mm Makarov and a dozen others. 9mm BULLETS may be different weights, slightly different sizes, and may be round nosed, hollow point, truncated cone, tracer, etc etc.

The difference between 44 special and 44 black powder bullets?
The .44 S&W Special is a cartridge currently loaded with smokeless powder, as opposed to earlier cartridges such as the .44 Colt or .44 Russian. Those cartridges, generally considered obsolete, were loaded with black powder. Smokeless powder should not be used in firearms built for black powder- the pressures are too high to do so safely. You may also find .44 caliber BULLETS (not cartridges) intended for use in a black powder revolver. These are typically made of a very soft type of lead, different from the harder lead alloys (lead-tin-antimony) used in modern firearms.

between about 1000 FPS and 1800 FPS, depending on the cartridge specifications and the length of the barrel is it fired from.
What is the size difference in bullet in the 9mm and 38 special?
There are SEVERAL 9mm cartridges- the most common is probably the 9mm Parabellum (9mm Luger). A 9mm Parabellum BULLET (not cartridge) is typically slightly smaller than a .38 Special bullet- .356 instead of .357. The 9mm is frequently (not always) lighter- and shorter. Other 9mm cartridges (such as the 9mm Makarov) will have different bullets.
How far will a .45 bullet travel?
The answer varies, depending on WHICH .45 caliber bullet, and which weapon fires it. In the case of the 1911A1 pistol, in .45 ACP, firing a standard 230 gr. round nosed bullet, when elevated to 33 degrees, the bullet will travel 2096 ft. Not accurately, but that is it's maximum RANGE.
Can you shoot a 380 caliber bullet in another gun?
Let's start by using the right term- I think you mean a .380 cartridge- many guns use .380 caliber BULLETS.
In general, NO. Unlike .22 shorts and long rifles, rimless cases do not interchange. It may be possible to get a .380 cartridge to fire in another gun- but not safely. Use ammo that is the caliber marked on the gun.
Well, two materials make up most bullets. They can be all lead, like most .22 rimfire ammo, or they can be lead cored bullets covered in jacketing metal, which is a copper/nickel alloy. Lead is too soft to be used as jewelry, and the jacketing metal, while it may LOOK like gold, melts at a MUCH higher temperature than gold, so would be very hard to work.
Now assuming that this is the BULLET (the part that comes out of the barrel) and not a cartridge, you might consider seeing if a jeweler can make it into a pendant.
Please note- we can't tell your age here- if you are still in school, use some caution. In the name of "zero tolerance", schools have expelled/suspended students for having civil war era bullets, empty cartridge casings, or drawing a picture of a gun. If you are a student, be careful your jewelry does not get you in trouble.

Is it illegal to shoot bullets into the sky?
May not be illegal in itself, but not a smart thing to do- What goes up WILL come down, and people have been hurt by folks "shooting a gun in the air". However, if you are in a city, heavily populated area, etc where shooting is not normally allowed, you may be arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm. You should not be shooting in places like that whether it is up, down, or sideways. One of the basic rules of safe gun handling is "Know your target- and what is beyond your target."
