Well, two materials make up most bullets. They can be all lead, like most .22 rimfire ammo, or they can be lead cored bullets covered in jacketing metal, which is a copper/nickel alloy. Lead is too soft to be used as jewelry, and the jacketing metal, while it may LOOK like gold, melts at a MUCH higher temperature than gold, so would be very hard to work.
Now assuming that this is the BULLET (the part that comes out of the barrel) and not a cartridge, you might consider seeing if a jeweler can make it into a pendant.
Please note- we can't tell your age here- if you are still in school, use some caution. In the name of "zero tolerance", schools have expelled/suspended students for having civil war era bullets, empty cartridge casings, or drawing a picture of a gun. If you are a student, be careful your jewelry does not get you in trouble.
What type of bullet is a 1943 20Mm?
The 20 mm (20 millimeter) is a cannon. Different 20mm cartridges have been used as weapons for aircraft, weapons used against aircraft, Naval guns, etc. 20mm projectiles may be ball (solid metal) or MAY be an exploding type (HE) which would be very dangerous to play with. This link will take you to a good article on the 20 mm:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/20_mm_caliber
Can you shoot 38 caliber ammo in a 94ae 357?
38 Special only, do not try to fire other types of 38 in it
Is it illegal to shoot bullets into the sky?
May not be illegal in itself, but not a smart thing to do- What goes up WILL come down, and people have been hurt by folks "shooting a gun in the air". However, if you are in a city, heavily populated area, etc where shooting is not normally allowed, you may be arrested for reckless discharge of a firearm. You should not be shooting in places like that whether it is up, down, or sideways. One of the basic rules of safe gun handling is "Know your target- and what is beyond your target."
Can you put hollow point pellets in a break barrel pellet rifle?
Yes, because the difference between a standard round and a hollow point is only the mushroom at impact.
6.5 millimeters IS the caliber. 6.5 mm is approximately .25 of an inch.
Is 357 magnum caliber a military munition?
Not in the current U.S. military. the most common handgun caliber currently is the 9mm.
What is the thing where the bullets come out of the gun called?
a barrel
^response to answer = Isn't he referring to the slide on the side where the casings come out? I would think EVERYONE knows bullets come out the barrel. lol
Can you make a blank gun fire real bullets?
The question is not if you can do it, it is whether it can be done SAFELY- and without going to prison.
Guns made ONLY to fire blanks must be designed and constructed so that they cannot fire "ball"- or real- ammunition. Many are constructed of inferior metals, since they do not need to contain the high forces generated when firing ball ammo. These are very likely to disintegrate without warning, causing injury from flying metal bits.
Convert a blank gun to something that can fire ball ammo, but does not have a rifled barrel, and you have just built a "short barreled shotgun". Or at best, an "any other weapon". Under US law, these must be registered with the BATFE before building- penalty is 10 years prison if you don't.
While actual firearms CAN fire both blanks and ball ammo, a blank gun cannot safely do so.
It depends on exactly what you mean. If you fired a round in a gun and the actual projectile is stuck in the barrel, you should take the gun to a gunsmith and have him tap the bullet out using the correct tools. If you are having malfuctions such as a double feed, simply go to a reputable gun shop or gun range and ask someone to show you how to clear the malfunction. Take the gun in to the shop in a gun case of some kind, and tell the person what you need, and be sure to tell them the gun is loaded and a round is stuck. Don't just walk in with a gun in your hand.
Will a 22 long rifle shoot a 22 magnum bullet?
No. Not only is the .22 magnum more powerful, it is longer, and LARGER in diameter. It will not chamber in a .22 LR firearm. There are a few revolvers that aremade with 2 different cylinders- one in 22 LR, one in 22 Mag, that can be swapped- but the cartridges themselves cannot be used interchangeably.
A .22 Long Rifles actual bullet is smaller than a magnum, not to mention the case diameter. So you wont be able to chamber a .22 Mag in a .22 LR...A .22 LR will chamber in a .22 Mag but due to the case diameter it will possibly split(possibly injuring the person shooting the gun,or damaging the firearm),and the bullet rattles around for about 3" in most gun barrels before it stabilizes, causing leading, premature barrel wear, and loss of accuracy...Dont Try It!!!
How fast does a 38 caliber bullet travel?
Muzzle velocity will vary, depending on whether fired from a rifle, revolver, or semi-automatic pistol- and on the loading of THAT particular cartridge. A .38 Special wadcutter target load fired from a 4 inch bbl revolver will reach about 690 feet per second. A +P+ (high energy load) fired from a 6" revolver may reach 1100 fps.
Yes, swords can block bullets. Bullets can fly really fast but you need to learn how to block fast flying bullets with a sword.
<><><>
No, swords do not block bullets. If they did, police officers would be carrying swords. A bullet from a large caliber handgun or high powered rifle has enough energy to snatch the sword from your hand, break your hand, and shatter the blade of the sword. What works in anime does not always work in the real world.
The short answer is, it creates a hole in whatever it hits. Some bullets (hollow points) will generally expand and become jagged and make bigger holes than non-hollow points.
How are bullet casings and bullets used to compare and identify guns used in crimes?
The barrel of a gun has lans and grooves that cause the bullet to spin. These grooves leave distinct markings on the bullet that are like a fingerprint. No two guns leave the same markings on a bullet. The bullet casings are marked by both the firing pin hitting the primer or case rim, and the extractor that grabs the case and ejects it from the weapon. These are also distinct, gun specific, markings.
Yeah there good for coyotes but if possible get something a little bigger like a 223 or a 243 that way there sure to fall
Give speed of 9mm 124grain bullet?
For a 9mm Parabellum (aka 9mm Luger) the muzzle velocity of a 124 gr bullet will run ABOUT 1120-1170 feet per second, depending on exact load and barrel length.
Do bullets fired into the air come down and kill people?
They can- and have. A bullet may still have a lot of energy pushing it when it comes down. Firing into the air is a very unsafe practice- and violates one of the very basic rules of safe gun handling- "Know your target, and what is beyond your target".
What makes the bullet fly out of the gun?
When a gun is fired, gunpowder in the cartridge is ignited. It burns very quickly, creating a cloud of rapidly expanding high pressure gasses. Those expanding gasses push the bullet out of the barrel.
Does a gun silencer make a detectable mark on a bullet that passes through it?
Depends on the silencer, and the bullet. Some silencers (properly called suppressors) used a "wipe"- material that was moved aside by the bullet, and moved back to trap and slow gasses. Those suppressors could leave a marking on a bullet, especially a soft lead bullet. Few suppressors today use the wipe system, relying more on baffles and precision machining.
What browning pistols use 7.65 ammo?
The 7.65 automatic pistol cartridge is also commonly known as the .32 ACP, or for short, .32 Auto. Any browning pistol chambered for .32 ACP uses 7.65.
