Can you shoot a 22 bullet out of a 22 mag?

NEVER FIRE AMMUNITION IN A WEAPON NOT DESIGNED FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<><><><>

Strongly agree with above. In the case of 22 LR being fired from a .22 magnum- it is the wrong diameter. The brass case will split, blowing hot gasses where you do not want them, and accuracy from the undersized bullet will be very poor. .22 Magnum is fatter, longer, more powerful than 22 LR.

Adding MY two CENTS' worth: It is possibly unsafe. But I have tried it with a couple different guns, both handguns and rifles. Accuracy was poor and each cartridge had to be loaded into the chamber manually. I did not have any cases split, but they did bulge. The bullets did fly downrange and hit on or near the target, but group size was more than twice what .22 WMR (magnum) ammo would have done for me. BOTTOM LINE: In an emergency or survival situation, it is good to know about this. And don't assume that a .22LR in a .22 Mag firearm won't shoot. My experience says it will shoot and the bullet will come out with deadly velocity.

What is better 9mm or 45 calibre?

The 9mm came into popularity because of it's high capacity magazines which hold between 15-20 rounds where a .45 holds between 7-10. the .45 fires a 185-230 grain bullet, the 9mm about half that. The stopping power of the 9mm is minimal compared to the .45. The bullet diameters are .45 inch and .38 inch. The 9mm is less expensive to shoot and recoil is minimal which makes it a good choice for target shooting, the .45 is a little more costly to shoot and has a bit more recoil. It would also depend on what you want it for, to shoot target and such the 9mm will do it for you, for defence I would take the .45 over the 9mm alrhough the 9mm is a fair defence piece. they both have their points, Good luck choosing......

How are bullet proof vests made?

The primary material used in bulletproof vests is Kevlar in several layers. There are many types of bulletproof vests, many of which include special inserts. The actual construction of bulletproof vests and other bulletproof clothing (they make bulletproof suit coats even!) is not really different than making other clothing items, but they adhere to a higher level of quality during construction.

Can you fire m 16 ammo with ak 74?

No you cannot.
Size of bore is different, cartridge dimensions are different, all precluding a good chambering of the .223 round. Which then precludes a bolt spin and locking closure, which prevents the sear from releasing the hammer.

Can you shoot 22 calibar bullets in a 25 handgun?

No. The .22 is smaller in diameter than the .25 and would be too small for the chamber of a .25. Generally speaking, you should never try to fire any cartridge in any handgun other than what it is designed to fire. While it may be possible to get a cartridge to fire from a different gun, it may cause damage to the gun or the shooter. Additionally, I forgot to mention that the .22 is a rimfire cartridge and the .25 is a center fire, the the firing mechanism is slightly different in the two guns.

Can centrefire rimfire bullets be used in the same rifle?

In general, no. The cartridges will have differing shapes and sizes, a a rim fire firing pin strikes the rear edge of the cartridge, where a center fire firing pin strikes the center of the rear of the cartridge.

HOWEVER, in past years a very few firearms have been made with a changable firing pin that could fire rimfire OR centerfire ammuntion of the same caliber.

How long are mini gun bullets?

they use a 7mm mag. Actually the mini gun fires 7.62X51 NATO or .308 Winchester as they are basicly the same round, .308 being the civilian designation. The 7.62X51 became the replacement for the US caliber 30.06 after NATO was formed following WWII. The name mini gun comes from the fact that the "GAU2B" is a scaled down or mini version of the Vulcan 20MM gatlin cannon used on fighter aircraft at the time. Now made by Dillon Aero the old mini has been much improved but retains the same caliber ammo.
