Anoles are a small - medium sized arboreal reptile ranging from just a few inches up to 22 inches. They range from North America - Asia. They are a very common reptile specie as they can be very affordable. They come in multiple different colors and through selective breeding; morphs are now available throughout the reptile hobby. Anoles range from climates that are hot with minimal shrubbery - very hot and damp rainforest climates. The most common anole being the green anole, they are often seen looking brown, as the pigments in the skin can lighten and darken depending on mood, stress and temperature.

no the baby will have more of the chance of living if it is separated. who is to stop the parents if they mistake the baby for food? (it has happened and the parents have attacked the babies before as well)

The anoles tail probably fell of because someone was holding it by the tail. You can just leave the the anole because its tail will grow back but it will most likely be shorter.
How do you give a green anole a bath?
The only time you should bathe your Anole is when it is dehydrated or having trouble shedding. What you can do is get a plastic container (Cool Whip containers work good), poke about 20 holes around the top with a small nail, put about a half an inch with warm water (make sure it is between the lizards stomach and knees. Much deeper and it will drown). Gently set the lizard into the water. Make sure that the water is just above room temperature (about 80 to 90 degrees), and put the lid on. Leave the lizard in there for about 5 minutes, and then take the lid off and check how she's doing. Put her back in the tank. You may bathe the little reptile 2 times a day if they are severely dehydrated. Hope that helps!

Depends on the weather, if you are in the summer in Florida, they can live on the ground and in the trees. Because they are cold blooded, they have to be warm so the can digest the bug.
