Athena (Minerva)

Minerva does not have any true brothers or sisters since she is the only child of Jupiter and Metis. However, considering her father was Jupiter, she would have many half siblings. Some of them would be Mars, Vulcan, Apollo, Diana, Mercury, Prosperina, Bacchus, Hercules, Perseus, and Helen.

It is very unusual to give Athena the sun as a symbol. Normally her symbols are shield, helmet and lance, also snakes. Where the sun comes in I do not know, I have never encountered it. Maybe it is a transformation of har golden shield.

Athena was a shape shifter - she could take on the appearance of any person or animal, although her favorite was the owl (her symbol). When impersonating a human, even that person's closest acquaintances could not tell the differences. Athena then felt bad, so seh brought Arachne back to life and made her and excellent weaver, but in the for that Arachne would never be able to weave somethin as good as Athena. Yes. Zeus fathered Athena on the goddess Metis (Yes, Athena was born from Zeus' head, but Metis was still the mother) and fathered Hercules on Alcmene. Hercules and Athena are half-siblings because they share a common parent. Interestingly enough, Zeus is also Hercules' great-great-grandfather andgreat-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather on his mother's side. So, in addition to being half siblings, Hercules and Athena are cousins.
