Yes, Spud Webb was 5 feet 7 inches and played in the NBA. He was known for being able to dunk easily for someone of his size. Qualities of a good shooter in basketball?

I think that the qualities of a good shooter would include these:

1. Good Form- A good shooter must have good form. If you don't know what good form is ask an experienced player, or watch players like Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Micheal Jordan, or J.R. Smith, all excellent shooters.

2. Experience- A good shooter needs experience from games and most importantly from practice. An extremely good shooter will most likely be taking 500 shots a day at least. Practice is key to becoming a good shooter. Also game time or experience. I don't think enough people realize how big of a mental game basketball is, game time will help tremendously in gaining confidence to shoot.

3. Confidence- A good shooter has to have confidence. Once you get the ball you have to know the ball is going in even before you shoot it. Confidence can be built differently for different people, some need game time, others just need practice.

4. Practice- I can't stress how important practicing your shot is. A good shooter practices their shot continually. I mean everyday, its not like a player gets good at shooting and then never has to practice, a good shooter will practice everyday, getting thousands upon thousands of shots in, putting themselves in game situations. Shots from all angles continually with consistancy in good form.

I think these are the top qualities you should get more information on form as it is the basis of a good shooter. People make livings off of being a shooting coach and working with players to perfect their form. If you are serious on becoming a good shooter get the form down and then practice practice practice until you are sick of holding a basketball.

Ultimately, the only requirement to be in the NBA is that you must be at least 19 years old and one year beyond your high school graduation date.

Is it harder to transform an ice rink for basketball or basketball court for hockey?

Ice Hockey

First a protective layer must be laid on the court; if the court is not smooth enough, this may also be dealt with. Next the cooling apparatus is put down, followed by the base and then the "ice". All up, this might be up to a week, given the complexity of the task and the need for it to be quite accurate.

Indoor Hockey

All that is needed are the "edges" of the rink to be inserted; this is commonly done using wooden runners all secured to each other and the surface for a continuous barrier. The goals are set and the hoops cleared from play, and all is done. This can take 20 minutes, and even that is a long time to do it.
