TPX has released a couple - just repainted models of the 2010 bats. In a typical year the new bats come out in May. However, the economy has affected the manufacturers as well, so you may see some come out in April to try to generate some excitement in the marketplace.

corking makes the bat lighter so you can swing it faster therefore generating greater speed at the point of impact with the ball, transferring more speed to the ball as it leaves the bat, causing the ball to fly further (provided you don't break the bat and look like a fool - corking a bat weakens the bat as well as making it lighter).

How can you tell what a good bat is?
Swing it in live batting practice. Just hitting of a tee will help, but you will never know for sure until you hit live pitching. But definitely try it out in practice, not in a game. Hitting live pitching will let you know if you can swing the bat and hit a fastball, but still hold up and hit a curveball or changeup. You want to be able to have good bat speed, but a bat too light will not provide much power.

Well, the Easton Stealth is a fairly good bat; which as the CF3 is amazing.
I have one and I hit bombs. The Stealth takes longer to break in, while the CF3 does not.
But when the Stealth is broken in it's amazing too, but i would go with the CF3.

Actually they do breath - their method of processing energy is much the same as that for living people, metabolizing oxygen and organic fuel. Oxygen from water however isn't as effectively obtained by lungs as it is by gills so a vampire underwater isn't as active as one in air. A vampire however cannot be drowned. He may be rendered comatose, but as soon as he gets back to air he will revive. Certain vampires have been known to be buried for hundreds of years and still be perfectly active when they are freed.

Tennis does not use bats. Tennis is played with a racket - a sports implement consisting of a handled frame with an open hoop across which a network of strings or catgut is stretched tightly. The tennis ball is struck using this network of strings.
The implement used to strike the ball in table tennis is officially called a racket (as per the International Table Tennis Federation). It differs from the racket used in tennis in that it is laminated wood covered with rubber or sand-paper on one or two sides (no netting strung across an open hoop). Local terms for the racket include "paddle" (common in the USA) and "bat" (often used in Europe).
By the rules of the ITTF:
- The racket may be of any size, shape or weight but the blade shall be flat and rigid.

- Ordinary pimpled rubber is a single layer of non-cellular rubber, natural or synthetic, with pimples evenly distributed over its surface at a density of not less than 10 per cm2 and not more than 30 per cm2.
- Sandwich rubber is a single layer of cellular rubber covered with a single outer layer of ordinary pimpled rubber, the thickness of the pimpled rubber not being more than 2.0mm.
- The covering material shall extend up to but not beyond the limits of the blade, except that the part nearest the handle and gripped by the fingers may be left uncovered or covered with any material.
- The blade, any layer within the blade and any layer of covering material or adhesive on a side used for striking the ball shall be continuous and of even thickness.
- The surface of the covering material on a side of the blade, or of a side of the blade if it is left uncovered, shall be matt, bright red on one side and black on the other.
- The racket covering shall be used without any physical, chemical or other treatment.
- Slight deviations from continuity of surface or uniformity of colour due to accidental damage or wear may be allowed provided that they do not significantly change the characteristics of the surface.
Why will a ball go farther when hit by a metal or wooden bat?
I'm just guessing here, as I am not very savvy in the world of sports. Logically I would think that the difference is due to the fact that wooden bats are solid and metal bats aren't. metal is hollow and wood is not I just hit the ball and run, I'm not really the scientific type so I will try to explain it the best I can. So think about it. Knocking on wood sounds different than knocking on metal so I guess it is because they are different materials? Maybe?
