Actually there are more than two types of BB/pellet gun power plants.

4. nitro-piston (similar to spring)
5. PCP ( PreCharged Pneumatic ) This can be either Air or C02. These fire either Pellet or Ball.

You can buy a cleaning rod (kit) for bb guns, they come in .177 caliber. The kit cost about $10. Use the cleaning rod to push the bb out of the barrel from the muzzle end, push it back into the loading chamber.

PCP's can fire well over 1000 feet per second.

Crosman made a model 1400 from 1968 to 1978. It was a 22cal Pellet rifle not a BB gun. If this is the rifle you are asking about please post the condition of the rifle to get an estimate of the value. Is it in excellent, good, fair or poor condition?

Actuall Crossman did make a BB gun V35C Slide action. I bought mine in1968. I hve it in front of me right now. To chamber the BB you slide the barrel down and pullit back up. it is solid the estimated value in good condition is $55 to $75. Hope this helps My Grandson loves it

If you are asking strictly about BB guns and not rifles, pellet guns or pellet rifles then I would have to say it most likely is the "IZH-Baikal Drozd BB Gun." It fires at a rate of 541 feet per second. It will fire 1, 3 or 6 shot burst at the pull of the trigger. However Pellet guns and Pellet Rifles are more powerful.

I assume the second. If you can find a web sling for it, that would certainly make it look more like a firearm.

BUT . . . just be careful . . . if the police see you with it, they will believe that you are carrying a firearm - kids have been shot to death because of this mistake. As a result, many states and citys now have laws that require BB and pellet guns to have a wide hot pink painted tip on the barrel.

Your question is a little odd, because there are BB guns and rifles and there are Pellet guns and rifles. So if you asked "What is the most powerful air gun or rifle", then I could answer you. But you only asked "what is the most powerful BB gun."

There is no single most powerful BB gun however the IZH Drozd BB Pistol fires a .177 BB at 541 ft/sec. And this is about as fast as you can get with a BB gun.

Now a Pellet Gun/Rifle is a much different story. Pellet rifles have attained a speed of over 1,300 ft/sec with a .177 pellet. But that is speed NOT power!

Pellets, unlike BB's come in different sizes from .177 up to 50 caliber. A 50 caliber pellet is about as large as your finger and puts a pellet downrange at around 680 ft/sec. It is much slower than a small .177 pellet but it is capable of bringing down a full size deer or bear. (I'm not kidding) These rifles will cost you around $600 and are in the PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) Class of air guns / rifles.
