Who wet the bed more girls or boys?
Depends on the age. With teenagers, it's about 2 percent , with tweens it's more like five, with younger kids it's about eight percent. (That's for every night, or very often) I think everyone accidentally wets the bed every now and then.
What causes a 20 year old to wet the bed?
Your body might not be waking up yourself when you have to go to the bathroom. Try to wake up when you have to go to the bathroom. When you have to go, just don't sit in your bed, get up and go!
Do dandelions make you wet the bed?
Well, the French slang for a Dandelion is a 'piss en lit' (wet the bed) and this is because the Dandelion is know to have diuretic properties. A chemical found in it makes the kidneys switch on and produce urine. Dandelion is not the only herb with these properties, Parsley also does this as does any herb with caffeine (e.g. coffee).
yes, some adults still wet the bed, some one of every age still wets the bed
How do you protect yourself from the bed wetting prank?
Put their hand in warm water while they are sleeping;)
How do you make wetting agent?
Wetting agent is basically a detergent. It breaks the surface tension of water, and is usually the last treatment a film receives before being hung to dry. The wetting agent causes the final rinse to "sheet" off the film, allowing it to dry without water spots. Water spots can cause all sorts of grief, and usually once the film has dried the water spots cannot be removed, even by rewashing, so it's best to prevent them. A film squeegee may be used to speed drying with or without wetting agent, but many workers do not like to touch wet film with anything other than wet fingers.
What should i do if i wet the bed for four nights in a row?
Wetting the bed can occur throughout your life if you never learn how to control it. What i have heard is that there is a special mattress that helps u to stop wetting the bed. If you dont want that try to always use the bathroom before you go to sleep and never have a glass of water beforehand. My brother didnt stop wetting the bed until he was five, so my mom bought this special pad that you put ontop of the mattress so that the urine doesnt gt on it. Hope this helped
Yes. Quite frequently. I have had this problem my entire life. i have to i need a nappy i need help i am almost 15
If it was a one-time thing, change the sheets ASAP and count yourself lucky. (Did you remember to use the bathroom before you went to bed?) If this happened to you in the past and is now coming back, you may want to speak with a doctor or therapist. If this is a recent development, same course of action. If this has been a longtime habit... definitely see a doctor. In any of these cases, it can be a sign of a health problem. Bed-wetting also sometimes happens with people as they approach old age, and their bladder muscles weaken.
I keep wetting the bed every night what should I do?
Try not to drink before you go to bed, and make sure you go to the bathroom. Meanwhile you should tell your parents, and ask them if they could buy some adult diapers, so you dont destroy your mattress =)
Good luck!

Which condition is commonly known as bed wetting and is actually urinary incontinence during sleep?
yes. Nocturnal Enuresis is also known as bedwetting
Is 11 a late bloomer for bed wetting?
I wet the bed until I was 14 andI'm 17 right now; so no need to worry! As for your problem: I gave some tips to someone else with this question, so let me take a whack at some advice.
First off: don't worry;- that can make it worse, and there are obviously people out there that have it even longer (like me). It mainly involves your genes - so see if your parents had this as a kid. (If not, don't worry: mine didn't either).
Another thing I did was wear those pull- up underwear which you can get at any store pretty much. Kust get the regular size and not the training pants. They are in the feminine needs part (some people get this problem throughout their life) but they have men's too. They may be big like they were on me. If that's the case, use tape.
Another thing my parents had me do was see a therapist. I read that some don't even know they do this until they're awake (which was my case). If that is your case too it may be psychological. I didn't like seeing a therapist, but it cleared up some of the questions I had.
Try not drinking before bed. The problem I had was medical (but yours might not be). For me one of my bladder stems had grown crooked. If that ends up being your case then they may have medicines to treat it.
If not, don't worry. It isn't life-threatening, or even painful; it's just annoying.
I hope this helped. Just remember not to be ashamed. And best of luck to ya!
If you have a trusting parent, hopefully they'll understand. Talk to them and ask for help. If you are so embarrassed, and can do it, just stop wearing diapers.
If she has always done it, sometimes some people never grow out of it and it is normal for them to wet the bed. Even though she is an adult, she just happens to wet the bed. The best solution if a doctor doesn't have the answer is cloth diapers and plastic diaper covers the same as a baby. There are many websites that cater to this. The most respectful one I have found is baby-pants.com. They sell plastic pants and cloth diapers for adults and babies. Really, I use 30 x 54 inch towels for the diapers. This is better than disposables. Cheaper and more comfortable. Use three towels and two safety pins to make it through the night. Remember, there are many others like her. This is just like needing crutches or insulin for diabetics. There is no diference, just a different condition. If she just started, go to a doctor as soon as possible to find out if she has a health issue. If not, then this may be something she may ahve to accept because in rare cases, people just strat doing this. Anxiety, also may cause this. Good luck, and don't be ashamed.
What does it mean if you keep wetting the bed at the age thirteen?
Well, it's a certain possibility that the relationship has absolutely nothing to do with why you wet the bed. Bed wetting is completely normal, and bed wetting will sometimes tend to stick with some teens, and follow them into their adulthood. Or perhaps you just had a bed dream that you don't remember
Children wet the bed. Not because they drink to much water before bed time. But one of the reasons children wet the bed is because children who can control there blatter's during the day, but who have never been dry at night for at least a 6 month peirod, have what is known medically as primary nocturnal enuresis (PNE), the most common of bed wetting. Over five million school age children in the US alone have PNE.
Most children with PNE feel that there is something wrong with who they are that causes there problem. Many of them feel it's the result of ethier bad thought's or bad action's. They feel somehow bed wetting is a punishment.
Many parent's feel that there children's bed wetting is a result of a defect in there parenting.
In a recent survay of 9,000 parent's of kid's 6 - 17, 22% stated that they thought the reason there child wet the bed was laziness. (survay conducted by ICR Survay Group from July 10th 1996 through August 6th 1996)
Children with PNE have two thing's in common. First, they need to urinate at night, not all children do. During the first month's of life, babies urinate around-the-clock. Most adults, however, don't need to urinate at night. Sometime in middle childhood, most individuals make the transition from urinating around-the-clock to only urinating during waking hours. There are three reason's why individuals continue to need to urinate at night.
1: There is an inbalance of the blatter muscle's.
2: They have blatter's that are a little to small to hold the normal amount of urine
And 3: They make more urine then there mormal-sized blatter's can hold, for several reasons.
They may drink too much. Drinking in the two hour's before bed increases night time urine production.
They may be consuming a diuretic medication, a substance that directly increases urine output. Usually theses are not perscribed medication's, but caffienated cola drink's or chocolate.
They make more urine in responce to a chronic disease such as diabete's or a chronic urinary tract infection.
They make more urine then average because of their hormonal regulatory system's. Babie's make about the same amount of urine around-the-clock . Most adults make less urine while they sleep. The reason for this thought to be a night time surge of a hormone called "Antidiuretic Hormone" (ADH). The level's of ADH found in the blood are higher begining in the evening. One study look at ADH level's in bed wetters, compared to control's, found that there was a constant low level of ADH in the bed wetters. the night time surge did nit happen. Perhaps this is a reason bed wetters tend to make more urine at night.
If an individual consistently has to urinate at night one or more of the above three reason's is the cause.

Can Strattera cure bed wetting?
Strattera has not been approved for pediatric indications. It's approved for Adult ADD only, so take your doctors advice with a grain of salt. Many drug companies have come under fire recently for marketing their products to doctors for many "off-label" indications that have not been proven safe or effective in clinical trials. What I am saying is that a drug rep with dollars in mind might have put that recommendation in your doctor's mouth and he is playing right into their clever marketing scheme. Instead, I would ask your doctor about the generic, and much cheaper, Clonidine. I have seen it work in several cases for the specific indication of pediatric bed wetting.
While I too don't agree with overzealous use of off-label prescribing of drugs to patients (especially one as new as Strattera), I do want to say this:
One of the known side effects of Strattera is urinating less than usual. For someone with overactive bladder, this is could be a godsend.
So if you are an adult with ADD or ADHD and have problems with incontinence, Strattera may be just what you're looking for.
There are many possible physical and/or psychological reasons. The good news is that they are treatable. As embarrassed as you might feel, you're not alone, and it's a medical condition just like any other.
It's not as uncommon an occurrence as you might think. You should make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible, and investigate the cause.
How can you wet the bed without your parents knowing?
A lot of people have "incontinence problems" -- which means they wet the bed, among other things. You can buy mattress pads specifically designed to protect the mattress, and you're going to have to do your own laundry! (Keep the soiled bedding in a plastic bag until you can wash it, so the smell is contained.)
Maybe they have a bladder control problem. They should not have anything to drink after 4:00pm and see if that works because if there is nothing in the bladder then they shouldn't have to empty it.
That is dangerous. That means they heve nothing to drink for 17 hours which makes the urine very strong and irritating, therefore MORE likely to lose control, not less.
At 15 about 1% of Boys are still wetting the bed, but unless he has a nerve conduction problem it is more likely to be a habit. He really needs a medical investigation and medical help. He must be at a great disadvantage at sleepovers etc, and will certainly want to be dry before he goes to college. Get him to go to the doctor, either a pediatrician specializing in this problem or a urologist.
