The story that has been told was that ben and Jerry have been best friends, and they were wanting to build a restaurant and on the menu the most popular dessert choice was they're strawberry I've cream, in fact the dessert brought more buisness then the food so the figured, if we can make one good flavor of ice cream. I do not see why not. Cream is not a meat but simply a product of a live animal.

It depends on what type of vegetarian you are. Some vegetarians, and all vegans, refrain from any dairy. If you are a vegetarian that only refrains from meat products, then ice cream should be fine for you.
