Of course, others will disagree. :) Lawrence David Kusche, a research librarian from Arizona State University and author of The Bermuda Triangle Mystery: Solved (1975)[15] has written a book that explains the number of inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the Bermuda Triangle books.

* The number of ships and aircraft reported missing in the area was not significantly greater, proportionally speaking, than in any other part of the ocean.

* In an area frequented by tropical storms, the number of disappearances that did occur were, for the most part, neither disproportionate, unlikely, nor mysterious; furthermore, Berlitz and other writers would often fail to mention such storms.

* The numbers themselves had been exaggerated by sloppy research. A boat listed as missing would be reported, but its eventual (if belated) return to port may not have been reported.

* Some disappearances had in fact, never happened. One plane crash was said to have taken place in 1937 off Daytona Beach, Florida, in front of hundreds of witnesses; a check of the local papers revealed nothing.

The Legend of the Bermuda Triangle is a manufactured mystery… perpetuated by writers who either purposely or unknowingly made use of misconceptions, faulty reasoning, and sensationalism.

I don't know why you should think that no one returns. Hundreds of thousands of people visit and return from Bermuda, Peurto Rico, the Bahamas, and Miami Florida each and every year. All of these tourist attractions lie within the 'Bermuda Triangle' and all of them rely on these thousands of tourist for their economy. If more than the average number of people did not return, this area would not be as popular as it is and has been for many decades.

When someone they saw leave, never came back. That happens everywhere, not just at the Triangle. Losses at sea happen everywhere. Where there is a lot of sea traffic, there will be more losses. Berlitz got the idea that one particular patch of ocean was having more than its share of losses (apparently not true). A lot of the losses in the BT books either never happened, are from known causes, or are not known to have occurred in the Triangle at all! Evidentally, there are probably more unsolved aircraft incidents in the Triangle than Ships, as planes are smaller, harder to locate and move fast, the last can be a liability in a danger zone on the down angle.

It is not only in the Bermuda triangle that planes and ships go missing. They go missing all over the word, it just happens there more as supposed electromagnetic Fields disable navigation systems. ANSWER: In the Bermuda Triangle, many things disappear. Ships, Planes, and People have been lost, as said above. One of the ships was the S.S. Poet. 2 planes would be the Aero Commander 500 and the Cassna 150. No one really knows what happened to these things but here are some of the theories: Shallow Water, Aliens, Monsters, and Bizarre Storms. We might never know, even with all our fancy equipment, we cannot tell.

Yes, all the same kinds of creatures live within the Bermuda Triangle that live around it, including people. Living conditions are the same on land, in the sea and in the air, within the triangle and without.

While it is unlikely, it does not mean it is impossible. According to various theories in theoretical physics the mathematics of wormholes can exist anywhere within the universe - the type of wormhole in this case (needed for travel) would be a traversable wormhole. According to Stephen Hawking - as well as others - this is supposed to be possible only when exotic matter and negative energy density could provide stability for the wormhole. While this can occur organically in nature the probability is low that it would be in the Bermuda Triangle. That being said it could be one explanation for the strange activity witnessed in the area - disappearances and sudden appearances.

Hard to say for certain, I do hope that more scientists and the general public take serious the challenge of investigating these wild premises (and real world applications of them)... I am sure that people once thought that the Wright brothers were mad, but today we know better.
