The fuel filter is located beneath the center of the car, approximately under the driver's seat. Remove the protective cover to access the filter. FYI: 2001-200 Z3 coups and roadster cars with the M54 engine are also equipped with a fuel filter that has a built-in fuel pressure regulator.

you have to pull the tan lower cover off and it is a 40 amp fuse just below the metal plate it is under the steering column like the fuse box lid under the hood shows to be number 48 fuse
