Elf bowling is a computer video game released by NStorm. This game was released in 1998. There are other Elf Bowling titles int he series for the Nintendo DS gaming system.

Faball manufactured bowling balls since the 70's. The Hammer brand still continues under the Ebonjte umbrella.

Assuming you mean that you hook it, it depends on your budget.
I bowl for college, so I have no problem dishing out $200+ on a high end bowling ball. Just remember that you get what you pay for.

I would recommend maybe a virtual gravity (by storm) or a mutant cell (rotogrip) if you want something super aggressive.
The One Pearl (ebonite), 2nd Dimension(storm) and 715A(track) are a little shinier, they generally go longer than the other two and snap harder int he back end.
If you want something a little less agressive, go with the 505c(track), or a Vibe(hammer).
They are all really good balls and worth every dollar.

You would probably get the pin above the ring finger as a beginner, but ultimately the proshop owner you bring it to to get drilled will be able to watch the way you bowl to determine what the best layout for you would be.

In the last frame you get a chance of bowling 3 balls. You can get three strikes, a strike and a spare (a spare is two balls) or a spare and a strike.

The Baker's Format or Baker's Systemis made up from a team of bowlers (usually 5). Each bowler takes turns bowling the next frame. More emphasis is then put on each frame because you can help or hurt your team instead of just yourself (such as in regular scoring).

Alex, Bob, Charlie, Desiree, and Ethan are on a team bowling in the Baker's System.

It is common practice to have your two best bowlers bowl in the 1st and 5th positions. Usually your best bowler bowls the 5th and 10th frames. This is considered the cleanup position. This is in hopes of them making the biggest difference by scoring the most pins in the 10th frame. The second best bowler would bowl the 1st and 6th frames. This is called the lead off position. This is in the hopes that this player will set the pace and momentum for others to follow.

Eight Bagger. There are no special names for strikes other than double for two consecutive strikes, turkey for three consecutive strikes, and clover for four consecutive strikes. Anything after that is call a "x bagger." X = the number of consecutive strikes thrown. For example. If you threw seven strikes in a row, it would called a seven bagger

There are leagues that are formed, where at the end of the league season, members will travel to a casino to bowl a tournament and then have fun. Part of the weekly fees are used to book rooms, the tournament or other expenses.

the foul line is the line that line that seperates the actual lane that the ball slides on and the part that you walk on. if you cross that line then you get points taken off of your score.

Who ever has the highest score after all 10 frames is the winner .

The back end is the last 15-20 feet of the lane, where it starts to hook into the pocket. It is where the oil is.

The sanctioned ABC 300 games or 800 series scores bowled can be found at the USBC International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame in Arlington, TX.

As a Strike is symbolized with an X, the strike symbol of / is used which looks like part of the X symbol.

The difficulty of picking up a bowling ball is the weight of the ball and holes for the hand grip relative to the person picking up the ball and their strength and mobility.

For scoring purposes, it is called a foul and the pins knocked down are not counted.

For safety purposes, crossing the foul line can be dangerous as there is lane oil used starting from the point of the foul line working its way down towards the pins for a specific length depending on the center. This oil is used to help preserve the life of the lanes as well as being a challenge to the sport.

A 7-bagger.

In the United States, that is Fran Lasee who was 89 years old when he bowled a 300 game in January, 2010 at the Willow Creek Lanes in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

This is called a triplicate. If you are a youth bowler, there is a patch you get. I am not sure about the women's leagues, but in men you don't get anything.
