Informal surveys have found that many women began wearing bras to be fashionable, to conform to social or maternal pressure, or for physical support. Women sometimes wear bras because they mistakenly believe they prevent sagging breasts.
Well a bra is an incredible invention that supports the boobs. (girls) there are many sizes like 32, 32A and so on. They have them in full cup, wired, seamless, bombshell, and when you really want to emphasize the boobs get a push up bra to make your boobs look big. Hopes this helps!
Sincerely,
Bra Expert
Is the bra size 39a or 36aa big or small?
The 39 in the bra size denotes the woman is 39 inches around her chest. The cup size refers to the size of the woman's breasts...the higher the letter, the larger. 39A would be considered small.
What are considered big boobs?
its all about a ratio: if you cant see your feet when standing, or if you can't strecth your ams behind your back without unstrapping your bra, weel, that mean u got big' ones
What are the different bra sizes?
Numbers start from 28, upwards to a possible 56 (in some American brands) there are apparently some 26 bras around (which I've yet to find, but believe it or not quite a few adult women are 26) and cup sizes go from AAA (I don't know what this stands for though...) AA, A, B, C, D, DD(While AA is smaller than A, DD is bigger than D) sometimes the letters change here though, an E in one shop may be a DD in another, and still others do DDD, rather than or before E/F. Generally though it is C, D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, I, J, JJ, K.
Any bra size is normal, but to give you an idea, the average woman should be wearing a 34DD. Band sizes start from 28 and go up to around 56, and cup sizes start from AA and go up to K. All of these sizes are worn by women with normal, natural breasts. Most people do not wear bras that fit them however, and the average bra we buy is a 36C. Studies show that at least 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size, and the most common mistake is to increase the band size (the number) when our breasts grow instead of increasing the cup size (the letter.) This is why DD+ cups are regarded as being very large, when in fact the average woman should be wearing a DD.
The band size refers to the size of your frame excluding your breasts. The correct band size will usually be your underbust/ribcage measurement rounded to the nearest even number, for example if your underbust measures 33 inches you will most likely need a 34.
The cup size (represented by a letter) is relative to the band size so if you currently fill a 36C but you need a 34 band, then a 34C will be too small. You will need to try a 34D - go up one cup size for every band size that you go down.
People who truly fit into 32As are extremely rare, and are called "unicorns" in the online bra fitting community because of it.
Someone who would wear a 32A would have a ribcage that equals 32 inches, no adding numbers, and a bust that equals 33 inches, since all an A cup means is that there is a 1 inch difference between the ribcage and the bust.
There is no such thing as a "too small" or "too large" bra size. It's just a bra size, one that is supposed to hug your body and provide support.
To support the breast tissue. The larger the breast the harder it is to run, play sports, or to do other things. It keeps the breast from sagging and gives the figure a better shape.
How do you know your bra size?
When you go to the women's department of a department store, a saleslady will measure and fit you.
What is the normal bra size for a 11 year old?
It depends on when you started to develop. But probably a 32AA-36A.
What bra size do most guys prefer?
I guess you need a teenager for this... Most guys don't CARE what size they are; They care about having some. Sure, we might like DD instead of C, but we like 'em all the same.
it depends on how old you are. for an adult. no. too small :|
answer
It depends on your weight if you have loads of weight and is that small that is small. I'm a size UK 4 and i fit into bar size 32B and sometimes some are too small. I'm a teenager
Answer:
It really is but it really does depend on your age. I'm a teenager and I'm size 36B and its kinda like in between small and big boobs
How do you know what bra size you are?
You need to familiarise yourself with how a bra should fit, and what it feels like when it does. You will also need to understand how bra sizes work.
The bra size is made up of 2 parts - the band size or back size, and the cup size. The band size is the size of your frame, and is usually the ribcage measurement rounded to the nearest even number. For example, if your ribcage measures 31 inches you will probably need a 32. The cup size is the volume of the breasts, and contrary to popular belief it's completely relative to the band size, so a 34C for example is bigger than a 32C. Normally the bust measurement will give an indication of what cup size you need but it's only an estimation. If your bust measurement is 1 inch bigger than your band size, then you need an A cup, 2 inches is a B cup etc. The bigger the cup size, the less accurate this will be so the best way to find out what size you need is to just try some on.
If you already wear a bra, you can work out what cup size you will need in a different band size by going up a cup for every band that you go down and vice versa. For example if you're wearing a 36C and you need a smaller band, you will need to try 34D, 32DD etc.
When you have a bra that fits properly you will be able to tell because the band will be very firm but not painful, and the cups will be filled out but not overflowing. You probably won't be able to fasten it on the tightest adjustment because this is reserved for when the bra starts to wear out.
If you look at your back in the mirror, the band of the bra should be completely horizontal across your back, not rising up in the middle at all. If your bra is riding up, even by a small amount, then you need to try a smaller band size. You shouldn't be able to pull the back away from you by more than a couple of inches.

If you have never worn a bra, the best way is to go to any nice store that sells bras and ask a saleswoman to measure you. You really need to be wearing a bra that fits ok in order to measure yourself with a soft tape measure. If you have a bra that pretty much fits, go online to any store that sells bras and they will have a detailed explaination of how to measure yourself.
I am 13 and in a 40 DDD bra size is that normal?
You have asked a very delicate question! Lets try and break this down a bit.
Teenage girls, especially with large breasts, tend to be very sensitive about their appearance. You have gone from flat chested to...not in a realitively short period of time, and are probably attracting a lot of new attention from boys. This can be uncomfortable and cause a lot of stress. I suggest talking about this with an adult whom you trust, and maybe one who can relate (a woman with large breasts.)
How do you measure to find your correct bra size?
get a measuring tape preferably the ones that are made out of fabric so they're easy to bend and wear a bra that has the least padding. wrap the tape around your band PARALLEL to the ground (make sure the tape doesn't go higher in the back or anything like that). your band size is the number that it is the most comfortable yet form fitting to your body. if it's an odd number add one inch.
for example my band size was 27 so i rounded it to 28
next measure your bust at the most prominent point of your breasts (ie the area that sticks out the most) so you'll get the highest number. make sure the tape is also parallel to the ground (measuring at the bust is most difficult to get it parallel. i found my tape would slip up on one side or droop down in the back). fit the tape tightly but also comfortably. same as the band, if you get an odd number, round up.
mine was 31 so i didn't need to round up.
if there is a 1 inch diff between the band and cup for example band is 30 and cup is 31, you are an A
2 inches - B
3 - C
4 - D
and so forth to 11 inches which is K
oh and most places in the US will replace an E cup with a DD and a F cup with a DDD for some reason. i guess for psychological purposes? i have no idea why
MY SIZE: because my band was 28 inches (rounded up to the even number) and the bust was 31 inches, I am a 28C. 28 for the band and C because 31 - 28 = 3.
ps, if you want to skip all of this and go to an establishment like Victoria's Secret to fit you, be warned they will compromise your correct size in order to sell you product. With me, they measured me as a 32 B because they don't sell 28's and this was the closest they had. oh. and they won't tell you that's not your actual size
.
What is the smallest bra size?
24AA is the smallest volume commercially made. However, "the smallest bra size" is not something that can be answered very clearly or easily because of something called "sister sizes". A sister size is a bra size whose cups hold the same volume as another bra size.
For example, the sister sizes of the bra size 30D are:
26DDD [US] or 26E [UK]
28DD
32C
34B
36A
38AA
All of those bra sizes hold the same amount of breast tissue, but the size of the band and the width and projection of the cups changes. Someone who wears a 34B has a wider ribcage and shallow, spread-out breasts compared to someone who wears a 26E, who has a smaller ribcage and narrow, projected breasts.
There are two graphics that show the relation of sister sizes. In each graphic, all the bra sizes that are in the same color row all hold the same amount of breast tissue.
United Kingdom graphic: http://i.imgur.com/6KJjw.png
United States graphic: http://i.imgur.com/Sy2LsFf.jpg
You can see in the UK graphic, that the smallest bra sizes by volume is 28AA and 26A.
In the US graphic, the smallest bra sizes by volume are also 28AA and 26A (as well as 24B, which is not currently made).
There are six different bra sizing systems currently in use in the world. For this answer I will talk about two of them, the United States system and the United Kingdom system.
Bra companies in the United Kingdom manufacture a larger range of bra sizes compared to most United States companies, since the companies in the UK (more specifically, England) realize that the bra alphabet does not stop at DD. You can not fit every bra-wearing person (about two billion people) in 5 different cups (AA-DD) on 10 band sizes (32-50), which is only 50 different bra sizes. Unfortunately, most United States companies only make those sizes, and will measure women incorrectly so they can get them to wear a bra that doesn't fit them properly.
In the United States system, the only double letters are AA and DD, with the rest of them being just single letters. But please note that there is no standard for bra sizing in the US, and companies can label their bras whatever they want. This makes it difficult for women to buy bras from other brands because of this. The general lettering system goes as follows, but not all brands will follow this:
0 inch difference: AA
1 inch difference: A
2 inch difference: B
3 inch difference: C
4 inch difference: D
5 inch difference: DD
6 inch difference: DDD/F
7 inch difference: DDDD/G
8 inch difference: H
9 inch difference: I
10 inch difference: J
11 inch difference: K
12 inch difference: L
13 inch difference: M
14 inch difference: N
15 inch difference: O
16 inch difference: P
17 inch difference: Q
18 inch difference: R
In the United Kingdom system, each letter (except for the letter "E", and the letter "A" which has the double before it) has a double letter after it, while the letter "I" is excluded from the system entirely. The bra sizing generally follows this standard, with only a few companies that do things a little different. It makes it much easier for women to bra bras from different brands because of this. The cup lettering goes as follows:
0 inch difference: AA
1 inch difference: A
2 inch difference: B
3 inch difference: C
4 inch difference: D
5 inch difference: DD
6 inch difference: E
7 inch difference: F
8 inch difference: FF
9 inch difference: G
10 inch difference: GG
11 inch difference: H
12 inch difference: HH
13 inch difference: J
14 inch difference: JJ
15 inch difference: K
16 inch difference: K
17 inch difference: L
18 inch difference: LL
It is also worth noting that a couple of United States brands have adopted the UK lettering system as it makes much more sense. One such company is "Affinitas" and it's "Parfait by Affinitas" line. The smallest band commercially made is 28. You can also have 26 and 24 inch bands made by companies such as Ewa Michalak, or you can make them yourself. As more people start to realize that a large number of women need bands under 30", we will see more and more 28s, 26s, and 24s.
Yes, you can. You can wear a bra at any age, as long as your chest has begun to develop and you feel comfortable. It is recommended for any girl who feels like they need the support of a bra, is more comfortable being covered up, ect.
What is the average bra size for a 13 year old girl?
If you've hit puberty then you dont really have a size until you are like 16 then the average size is 34d. So u should b close to that i guess
I am 13 & i wear a 32c, but all my friends wear either 32a or 32aa, so i have big boobs compared to all of them!
What the name of the girls first bra?
Generally, it is either a built0in bra in a camisole / tank top or a sports bra. For many, the first "actual" bra is called a training bra. That is the kind that is fabric, usually with no hooks or clasps, and with only minimal support.
Emma's bra size is 34A. (info from the Ballet Shoes film set)
But it this way Im a 30A
im 34C
Yes you should be proud of your size, I am 28-30a ish
How do you find out your bra cup size?
The most simplest way to determine an estimatedcup (and bra) size is this:
1. Remove all clothing from your torso up (no shirt, no bra, etc.)
2. Grab a cloth measuring tape.
3. Take the measuring tape, and wrap it even around your ribcage, underneath your breasts. Pull the tape snugly.
4. Record that number.
5. Take the measuring tape and wrap it evenly around the fullest part of your breasts.
6. Record that number.
Now, take the number from Direction 4 (ribcage)and subtract it from the number you got in Direction 6 (bust).
Example:
Bust: 35 inches
Ribcage: 26 inches
35-26=9
There is a 9 inch difference between ribcage and bust.
Now you know the number part (the band size) of the bra size is 26, and you need to figure out the cup size. Since there is a 9 inch difference, you need to count up to the 9th bra letter. You can use the chart below or the one on this website: http://bustyresources.wikia.com/wiki/Bra_sizing_by_country#US
UK cups: A B C D DD E F FF G GG H HH J JJ K KK L LL
US cups: A B C D DD/E DDD/F DDDD/G H I J K L M N
The 9th cup is bolded in both the UK and US cups, so our example person now has a starting cup size of a UK G or a US I, or a bra size of 26G (UK) and 26I (US). Unfortunately, no US company makes I cups in 26 bands (or any band under 34), or even makes 26 bands, so our example peson would want to stick to their UK size of 26G.
However, this simple method in pratice only gives a one-dimmensional take on your bra size. To get a much more accurate estimate, you will need to take 5 different measurements. For more in-depth reading, I recommend going through these websites as they have a wealth of information about determing bra size:
http://bustyresources.wikia.com

http://bratabase.com
It must also be noted that you do not add inches to your ribcage measurement, and do not measure for a band size underneath your armpits. This is incorrect and will cause you to come up with an inaccurate bra size, which can cause numerous health issues (back pain, underwires digging, scabbing, sores, breast pain, blocked milk ducts, damaged breast tissue, etc.) In the correct size you not be painfully aware you are wearing a bra (no stabbing, nothing), and you should also get a great lift and shape. For examples of inaccurate bra-fitting methods, you can read this page: http://bustyresources.wikia.com/wiki/Bra-fitting_method#Inaccurate_methods
