If you have the FN 1900, also called the Browning #1, it was produced from 1899-1907 and there were 700,000 made. It will have "Fabrique Nationale-Herstal-Belgique (Brownings Patent)" inascribed on the left side of the pistol. Under that it will have Fabrique Nationale's icon with a small picture of a pistol and a circle around it. Under that it will have " BREVETE-S.G.D.G." which is a french term for the patent process. It was used on many things including clocks. Hope this helps.

I am from long island and it depends on where the party is if it is at a fancy place $50 however if it is in their backyard or not that nice of a place $25-30.

Known as the Mauser model 1950 made for the Belgian army (if the receiver is blue) or for the Belgian Navy (if the receiver is gray) as a secondary weapon. This is the only Mauser ever originally chambered for the 30-06 cartridge. Value is around $600 if in excellent condition.

That model was made from 1963-68. Serial numbers were not required by law on rifles and shotguns until the 1968 Gun Control Act. Does not have one. Yes, it is legal. REMOVING a serial number is not legal, but having a gun that never had one is legal.

The answer is dependant on so many variables ...

Some of which include:

* Age of gun ( certain production periods are said to have produced finer guns through better workmanship ).

* Configuration - A rounded pistol grip and a long tang at the trigger are more desirable features, particularly in the U.S market. Longer barrels provide greater resale value over shorter barrels.

* Quality of the wood, which seems to be quite variable ...

* Condition.

* Amount of use / wear.

* Availability of verifiable provenance.

I've just paid $9000 for a (Colour Case Hardened) B25 C1, with 30" barrels and a rounded grip and long tang that has been refinished to original and 'as new' condition. The figure, colour contrast and balance of the (original) wood suggests it was originally ordered with a wood upgrade.

Perhaps my purchase price is not a fair reflection of what the gun is worth ( maybe 1 - 2 thousand above true value ? ) however, it's manufacture date of 1961 is the same as my birthyear and this combined with all of it's other features has 'ticked all of my boxes'.
