The fight was choreographed for the movie, but unlike most movie fights where there is no real contact, Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris agreed to have a "stiff" fight. That is a term used in professional wrestling that means they were really hitting (kicking, punching, etc) each other. That makes the fight look and feel much more realistic - because it is. So, the moves they did on each other did hurt, but unlike a "real fight" the entire thing was planned and choreographed... and they were still friends afterwards.

Bruce Lee had 3 pairs of sunglasses during his famous Hong Kong movie years 1970-73. Davij isn't a stuntman, Davij was a muay thai kick boxer and a freestyle wrestler which gives him advantage over Lee and Ali. All Davij had to do is take them down and throw heavy elbows to their nose and that will cause death. Davij was so great that he would take Ali AND Lee at the same time.
