A lot inspired her to sing. Her family is very musical so that influenced her a lot. Two other people that influenced her were her two idols, Barbra Streisand and Ginette Reno. She would of dream of sining at the Place Des Arts. That's what helped her persue her dream.

And she is a wonderful mother of three kids with a successful marriage and a hit show at Ceases palace in Las Vegas. There actually WAS en Elvis impersonator for the live stage performance just to fill as a body double and give the audience as much illusion as possible. He was later edited out of everything except for the segments shot from behind. The rest was a very high tech method called rotoscope, Of course, Elvis Presley Enterprises gave permission. It was very disturbing, I thought. that clip was from Elvis 1968 comeback special where he wore the black leather in most of it. Edge of reality was on the flip side of that record of the song, If I Can Dream, that he sang on A.I. As for the Elvis impersonator.... I've been trying to identify him for a while but no one is forthcoming with the info.

Celine has done charity work (to my knowledge) since 1983, when she taped a commercial for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. She has a personal connection, as her niece Karine was diagnosed with it.

As of September of 2014, Rene Angelil is still living, though in poor health. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in April of 1998 and has undergone several surgeries since then. In June of 2014 he stepped down from managing his wife, Celine Dion, but has remained involved in her business decisions.
