The Chicago Blackhawks team logo was created by Irene Castle, wife of team founder and coffee tycoon Major Frederic McLaughlin, in 1926 at the team's inception into the NHL. McLaughlin chose the 'Blackhawks' nickname in recognition of his time as commander with the 333rd Machine Gun Battalion of the 86th Infantry Division during World War I. His Division was nicknamed "Blackhawk Division" after a Native American of the Sauk nation, Chief Black Hawk, who was a prominent figure in the history of Illinois. Throughout the franchise's history, the logo has undergone minor changes but still closely resembles its original presentation.

The old Ottawa Senators from 1918-1934 have won 4. The NHL does not recognize the current Ottawa Senators as the same franchise and therefore they do not have any. However, they are allowed to display their Stanley Cup Championship banners in the current arena.

Currently last season,(2010),the goalies were Antti Niemi and Cristobal Huet.For the playoffs and Stanley Cup finals Antti Niemi was the goalie.Later on,both goalies weren't a part of the Chicago Blackhawks,Corey Crawford and Marty Turco replaced them.

There are many famous players, but some of the most famous alumni are Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Pierre Pilote, Tony Esposito, Glenn Hall, Jeremy Roenick, Chris Chelios, etc. Although, there are plenty of players now that are worthy of becoming legendary.(Toews, Kane, Keith, etc.)

Going way back to the late 30's and '40's we would be remiss in not including the Bentley brothers, Max and Doug. Max was the master of stickhandling and Doug was arguably, the fastest skater in hockey history. Their linemate, Bill Mosienko still holds the record for the three fastest goals scored in a game -- 26 seconds, I think.
