There have been deaths in various European leagues. However, in the NHL there has been only one. On Jan. 13, 1968, in a game between the Oakland Seals and the Minnesota North Stars, Minnesota player Bill Masterton was checked and fell to the ice causing a severe head injury. He was taken to hospital but never regained consciousness. He died two days later on Jan.15/68. Not as much as baseball. Q: It was Philadelphia flyers and that's how Chicago blackhawks won the Stanley Cup!
Nick Leddy is number 8 on the Chicago Blackhawks.
There are currently seven Americans on the Chicago Blackhawks
Well.. If you want to get a shout-out easily, you have to know Eddy or Pat (which is how most people get on), but you can try sending an email to the Hawks organization, and see if that works, but it really happens on rare occasions.
Reason he is good: As of 2010. NO! all this crap about him being rusty is because he is not playing. he has great spirit of his other goaltender teammate and he plays when he needs to (Game 1 Vs. Vancouver 2010) as of 5/29/10 Niemi gave up 5 goals last night and Huet would be the guy to turn to but Niemi shutout the third period. Huet is as equal has Niemi. HUET< I HOPE YOUR READING THIS!!!
Reason he is bad: I still believe he is bad because he failed so bad during the season and if it wasn't for Niemi we wouldn't have the cup, and one good game for Huet big deal he still did very bad the rest of the season.

The Chicago Blackhawks team logo was created by Irene Castle, wife of team founder and coffee tycoon Major Frederic McLaughlin, in 1926 at the team's inception into the NHL. McLaughlin chose the 'Blackhawks' nickname in recognition of his time as commander with the 333rd Machine Gun Battalion of the 86th Infantry Division during World War I. His Division was nicknamed "Blackhawk Division" after a Native American of the Sauk nation, Chief Black Hawk, who was a prominent figure in the history of Illinois. Throughout the franchise's history, the logo has undergone minor changes but still closely resembles its original presentation.
because we had native Americans in are country and they were Indian and the black hawks are in Chicago.

The old Ottawa Senators from 1918-1934 have won 4. The NHL does not recognize the current Ottawa Senators as the same franchise and therefore they do not have any. However, they are allowed to display their Stanley Cup Championship banners in the current arena.
Also, the Montreal Maroons who played from 1925-1938 won two Stanley Cups.
These are the only two defunct franchises to win Stanley Cups.
The song is "Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis. Song on their self-titled album.
The Blackhawk's players chose that song to play after a goal. Several other songs were considered but Chelsea Dagger was the winner.
The colors of the Chicago Blackhawks are red, black, and white. So three.
It all depends on who the Hawks are playing.
Currently last season,(2010),the goalies were Antti Niemi and Cristobal Huet. For the playoffs and Stanley Cup finals Antti Niemi was the goalie.Later on,both goalies weren't a part of the Chicago Blackhawks,Corey Crawford and Marty Turco replaced them.
