What was the change in the Cleveland Browns when they became the Baltimore Ravens that allowed them to become a championship team?

The original Cleveland Browns franchise moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens after the 1995 National Football League season. The City of Cleveland obtained a replacement Browns team in 1999.

What were the Cleveland Browns called before they were called the Browns?

the Cleveland Bulldogs

Answerthe Bulldogs were Canton's football team. there was a Cleveland Bulldogs franchise at one point when a Cleveland businessman bought the Bulldogs and combined them wih the Cleveland Indians, which he already owned and changed the Indians name to the Bulldogs. but it was a separate franchise and was never in anyway connected to the Cleveland Browns. the Browns have always been called the Browns since the team was founded in 1946. However, before that, Cleveland's NFL team was the Rams, who moved to Los Angeles after the 1945 season making way for the Browns, who started in the AAFC and then were brought over to the NFL in 1950.

How did the Cleveland Browns get there colors?

I know they originally were white and had to change to orange with the white stripe for night games, but why did they pick orange? Is there a reason? I also already know there is no logo on the helmets b/c the Browns is named after a person and not a real, decided-upon mascot really exists (although there are references to a brown dog).

Did Cleveland Browns play in a Super Bowl?

No.

The Packers will beat Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl,so Green will win the 2011 Super Bowl.

How many games did the Cleveland Browns win this year?

While the Cleveland Browns have not appeared in a Superbowl as of 2011 it is important to not that they have won many league championships and hold many NFL records and boast 21 Hall of Fame Players(16 of which gained that distinction primarily in a Browns uniform). It is also noteworthy to mention that the Browns have one of the largest, and most loyal fan bases (Dawg Pound, Browns Backers) of any major sports team and that their 2010-2011 running-back Peyton Hillis has been selected to appear on the cover of Madden 2012.

I just quoted this paragraph below from the wikipedia site.

The Browns have won a total of eight league championships. They won all four AAFC titles (including a 15-0 undefeated season in 1948), and after joining the NFL won four additional championships prior to the league's AFL–NFL_merger with the American_Football_League(AFL) in 1970. Following the merger, the Browns were one of three NFL teams which joined the ten former AFL teams to form the new American Football Conference. Despite having the sixth-highest winning percentage of all NFL franchises,Special:Wysiwygthe Browns have not played in a league championship game since the merger; however, they have competed for the AFC Championship three times. Having lost all three games, along with two NFL Championship Games of the Super_Bowlera prior to the merger (in 1968 and 1969), Cleveland is one of four NFL teams that has yet to reach the Super Bowl. Furthermore, Cleveland has never hosted a Super Bowl, making it the only NFL city to have neither hosted nor sent a team to the Super Bowl.Special:Wysiwyg
