You need to ask about the dress code.

There are several ways. You can use a hat rack. It's like a vertical pole thing that goes up the wall with hook things hanging off to hold the hat. You can use a cow or bull horn. Just nail it to the wall and hang the hat on it. Or you can store it in a hat box. If you have to lay it down (on a shelf or table), make sure you lay it with the BRIM UP. If you don't, something could fall on it and squash it. If you have the brim up and something falls, it will only fall in it.
