C.S.Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia: The Last Battle, takes place during the reign of the last Narnian king, Tirian. The central characters are an ape named Shift and a donkey named Puzzle. Shift finds an old lion's skin and persuades Puzzle to put it on and pretend he is Aslan, returned to Narnia. Puzzle is a simple, honest donkey who believes everything Shift tells him, and willingly goes along with the scheme. Shift manages to convince all the Narnians that he is now Aslan's spokesman. King Tirian, although initially taken in, soon realises the truth: when he confronts Shift, he is taken prisoner. When Tirian seeks help, he has a vision of all the children who have visited Narnia, and then Eustace (The Voyage of the Dawn treader, The Silver Chair) and Jill (The Silver Chair) arrive to help. Eventually a battle ensues, between Tirian, Shift and various groups who are either for Tirian, Shift, or for themselves (such as the dwarfs). During all this, Shift accidentally ventures too far and summons a demonic false god, Tash, who destroys him. Aslan indeed does return, to separate and judge those who are for or against him. Basically, this is the end of the Narnian world - and Lucy, Peter and Edmund, from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe also join them, following a fatal train smash in their own world. A whole new perfect Narnia is given to those who followed Aslan - or Christ.

C. S. Lewis wrote primarily in the genres of fantasy, science fiction, Christian apologetics, and literary criticism. He is best known for his works in the Chronicles of Narnia series, as well as his non-fiction books like "Mere Christianity" and "The Screwtape Letters".

CS Lewis became a Christian partway through his life, so this conversion is largely what motivated him to write his literary works. As an example of this, The Chronicles of Narnia are children's stories that were written to give children an analagous fairy-tale version of the story of Christ.

In C.S. Lewis's "A Grief Observed," the abbreviations "C" and "BR" refer to the author's late wife, Joy Davidman (known as "H"), and his stepson, Douglas Gresham, respectively. Lewis uses these initials to maintain a degree of privacy and anonymity in the book.

At the time that The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe was set, England was in the middle of World War II. This was a dangerous time, with regular air raids by Germany over major English cities. Buildings were regularly bombed, and many parents believed it was much safer to evacuate their children to the country for the duration of the war. The children in The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe were typical of such people being evacuated, and being accepted in the homes of people living in the country.

C.S. Lewis raised his wife Joy's two sons, Douglas and David. After their mother's death, they continued to have a close relationship with Lewis, who provided for them in his will. Both sons went on to have successful careers and families of their own.

C.S. Lewis converted to Christianity in his early thirties, around the age of 32. His conversion experience played a significant role in shaping his life and work as a renowned Christian apologist and writer.

The basic thrust of this essay is that humans have no right to expect that life will make them happy, and especially that there is no "right to happiness" that permits you to break moral codes to make yourself happy. One example that he uses is a married couple where one of them, say the wife, becomes mentally ill. Should the husband be permitted to "dump" her or have an affair while she is ill because he has "a right to happiness"? The answer given by Lewis is definitely No. Happiness is a gift, not a right.

The candy they ate in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" was Turkish delight, a sweet treat made from sugar, starch, and flavorings like rosewater or citrus. The White Witch tempted Edmund with Turkish delight to gain his loyalty.

He was critical of socialism and communism, expressing a preference for free-market capitalism. Lewis believed in the importance of individualism and personal responsibility.

In The Last Battle, the final book of The Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis, the main sides that are seen in the battle are led by the Calormenes and the Narnians. The Calormenes are depicted as evil forces, while the Narnians, along with some Dwarfs and Tashbanians, fight on the side of Aslan and Narnia.
