What kind of guitar does Dave Matthew's play?
As per their official website: http://www.davematthewsband.com/#/band/Tim-Reynolds, he uses:
Taylor 914c 6-string acoustic
Taylor w65 12-string acoustic
WOW, this is a very difficult question due to the fact that Dave Matthews plays many different types of guitars.
I can tell you that as far as acoustic guitars go, he seems to be partial to "Martin" guitars.
Martins are very high end acoustic guitars, some of the best in the world.
It also means that they come with a heavy price tag as well.
I was looking at a couple a few months ago, and they can range anywhere from $900 dollars to over $30,000 dollars (and anywhere in between) depending on what they are made out of.
I've seen Dave play:
Martin Steel 12-String Acoustic Guitar
Martin Steel 6-String Acoustic Guitar
Taylor 6-String (and 12 string) Acoustic Guitar
Yamaha Country Jumbo 6 String Guitar
Gibson 6-string
SST Solid Body Acoustic Guitar
Lakewood Acoustic Guitar
And a "Veillette" 12-String Guitar too.
All fantastic guitars to say the least.

he also used a Martin D-18 guitar on
on his albem Remember Two Things which i got to use
when i recorded in the same studio as him

What does the song 41 mean by Dave matthews band?
When DMB was just starting out, Dave had a business relationship with a Charlottesville, VA lawyer named Ross Hoffman. Hoffman was one of the first who encouraged Dave to form a band, and he owned the famous Pink Warehouse (as in the song "Warehouse). The contract between the two pertained to the publishing rights of the band's songs, which were controlled by the company the two founded, called Colden Grey, Ltd. In 1995, after the band had become a hit with Under The Table & Dreaming, which had sold several million copies, Hoffman sued Dave for partial control over the publishing rights to the songs that were under the Colden Grey name. The two eventually settled out of court, but Dave was shaken by what he felt was the betrayal of an old friend, and the experience led to the lyrics of #41. As for the title, it simply reflects the song's place in the order of songs the band had written (i.e., it was the 41st song written by the band).
though I can't honestly say it was the first ever, the first time I heard this was at a show in 2002 in Massachusetts
it hadn't started in 95, as it can't be heard on live at red rocks
I believe it started at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State. I also believe it was Stefan who got the whole thing going. I remember it starting during the Summer tour of 2002.

The 'woos' were thought up by Warehouse members after they received a live recording of the song 'Warehoue' as a special Warehouse member benefit. It quickly caught on and now is being said by the entire audience and not just by Warehouse members.
What is the meaning of Dave Matthews Band Cry Freedom?
This song seems to be about South African Apartheid.
"How can I turn away.
Brother/Sister going dancing through my head.
Human as to Human"
Many in that country just turned their head away from the suffering that was occurring in that country.
"Cry freedom cry
From a crowd 10,000 wide
Hope laid upon hope
That this crowd will not subside.
Let this flag burn to dust and a new fair design be raised."
This seems to refer to a rally before the end of apartheid. When Mandela came into power, they got rid of the Afrikaan flag and created a new flag with the colors of the ANC being split by the colors of the US which have traditionally been seen as the colors of freedom.
What does Funny the way it is by Dave matthews mean?
Funny the Way it is is a song talking about the controversies of life. The lines in the song talk about how one thing can be happening in life while something else totally opposite is going on too. In the song there is a line that says "bomb blasts bring a building tumbling to the floor, and laughter while the children play war." is a good example of how kids can be laughing and joking at something like war when it's for real going on somewhere else. the song is full of contradictions.
Are Dave Matthews' daughters in his new video funny the way it is?
I highly doubt it. Dave Matthews' twin daughters, Grace Anne and Stella Busina were born August 15, 2001, which means they just turned 8 years old last month; the girls in the "Funny The Way It Is" video do not look 8 years old to me. Also, if you google "Dave Matthews and daughters", the pic that comes up is Dave with Grace Anne, one of his twin girls, and that pic was taken in 2008, last year. That girl pictured with Dave and the girls in the video look absolutely nothing alike: the girl pictured with Dave has blond hair and a babyish looking face (which makes sense, she was 6 1/2 years old in the picture), and the girls in the video have reddish looking hair and more mature faces. One more thing: Dave's twin girls are fraternal twins and these types of twins usually do not look identical, like the girls in the video. So, based on this info, the girls in the video can't possibly be his daughters.

What does the fire dancer logo mean from the Dave Matthews Band?
HThe firedancer is a Dave Matthews original artwork. A long time ago, when trying to come up with merchandise logos, someone asked Dave to draw what he saw when he looked into the crowd. He drew the firedancer. He said he saw people just letting go and dancing crazy and having a good time. That is where the firedancer came from and what it represents - what Dave sees in his audience.
