The Discovery Channel's hit series, Deadliest Catch, currently features 5 fishing boats. The largest is the Wizard at 155 feet. The remaining featured vessels and their size is as follows: Cornelia Marie - 128 feet, Northwestern - 127 feet, Time Bandit - 113 feet.

The boats only dock at dutch harbor and st.Paul island during the show. Seattle is some of the boats home port.

Depending on the season (two seasons are shown on the show), the boat, the crab and general "it happens" they can make any where from $17,000 to $54,000 a season. The Northwestern is generally the most profitable ship, but they are one of the biggest with the most to lose. All of this info can be readily found on the last show of each crab season. The most I seen in a season was with the Northwestern deckhands walking away with over $100,000 grand for their two seasons.

She was on the tribute show and also attended the funeral. The boys are older now so they didn't talk about Mary much in the episodes, although she was the main caregiver for the boys while growing up, as Phil was on the boat about 9 months out of the year she said. They stayed in close contact still up until the very end.

"A week ago, my girlfriend and I were watching a DVR'd show (Survivorman) and I saw a commercial promo for new seasons of the Discovery Shows I Shouldn't Be Alive and Deadliest Catch. The spot had an awesome (if not a bit pop-y) song playing in the background over the visual and I immediately knew that I wanted to download it. We wrote down some lyrics and I tried to Google them the next morning. No luck. What I did find was a message board with other song seekers that had been searching for weeks without an answer. Finally, after emails and phone calls to The Discovery Channel, someone (Kristen from Program Development) from the network vowed to check into it. Hold on -- I just came across this strand. I'm checking in with our marketing folks to ask. A day later, came her disappointing response. So, my colleague tells me that we had a group called CUE11 Music score that song (it's not, as some people speculated, Evanescence). Unfortunately it only lives as a one-minute and a 30-second cut, though. But it's great feedback for us to know people like it, and we've made note of that. I think it was a combination of fatigue, dehydration and an anxiety attack or could of been anaphylaxis.

No, Deadliest Catch won't be cancelled due to Captain Phil's passing. Although he was one of the most popular captains on the show, the fans also love the show and know that life and work must go on with out him. There are other stories that are still unanswered for fans - Will Edgar return? Will Sig ever give him the opportunity to captain the Northwestern? Will Johnathan and Andy retire and if they do who will run the boat? Will Jake Andersen's family ever find peace with his missing dad?

Many will miss Captain Phil, me being one, but I can't wait to see his sons, Josh and Jake, take the initiative and go for their captain's license and take the helm of the Cornelia Marie. I wish them all the best, I know I will be watching and can't wait for the new season to start!
