To change the time your receiver updates its software go to menu, preferences, and then updates. If you want to change your inactivity standby mode go to menu, preferences and then inactivity standby.

You can get your satellite signal to a third TV by 1 or 2 ways. The first would be to have a receiver connected to that TV. The receiver would be extra per month. The second manner would be to mirror (splitting the signal from the recever) the 3rd TV with one of the other TVs.

The regional sports channels in that zip code are Fox Sports North, and Big Ten Network. These channels are included free in the America's Top 120+ package and above.

You will be able to find the television show, Naruto: Shippuden on the Disney XD channel (DISXD) which is on either channel 174, or 847.

Whichever port you use on the back panel of the tv, will be the input (source) setting you will need to have the TV on. For example, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, TV, video.

The 023 error code is just letting you know that the program guide information can't be downloaded. In most cases a simple rest by unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds and plugging it back in will fix it. If it continues after the reset, you'll want to run a Check Switch Test.

This can be done by going to Main Manu > System Setup > Installation > Point Dish. Select 'Check Switch' then 'Test'. Let it finish and then exit out. It will reacquire the signal and download the guide. If it still continues after that, then a replacement receiver may be needed.

You can make your satellite to pick up other signals by aligning the dish properly (elevation and azimuth alignment) taking into consideration the skew angle.

We have several ESPN channels we offer. ESPN is on channel 140 as stated below. We also have ESPNU (141), ESPNEWS (142), ESPN Classic (143), and ESPN 2 (144). These channels are available with our America's Top 120 and above programming packages. ESPN Classic is only available with the Multi-Sports package.

With DISH Network ESPN will be found on channel 140, & as for the NBA League Pass the channels will vary between channels 560-572.

The easiest way to get the receiver number is by pressing the Menu button on the DISH remote 2 times. This brings up the System Info screen on your TV. Look for a 10 digit number that begins with "R". This is the receiver number. Below the receiver number, the smart card should be located.

TV One is not currently carried on DISH Network. I'll add in a request for the channel.

There are pros and cons to having Dish and for having cable. Cable does not have as many channels to choose from or DVR. But, during storms Dish goes out a lot.

It depends which country you are in

You can get Dish Network and cable internet. Be sure to tell your Dish TV installer that you plan on getting cable internet. Also, tell your Cable TV installer you have dish satellite. As far as Cable internet being good for gaming, it depends on the internet speed you get.

The external hard drive is supported on our 211, 211k, 411, 612, 622, 722, 722k, and 922 receivers. It will support single tier hard drives from 50 GB to 2 TB DVR receivers and 50 GB to 1TB non-DVR receivers (211, 211k, 411). You can use external hard drives in like receiver families so if a receiver is replaced it will still work if you have the same receiver model (722 for a 722). The rest of the information below is correct except for the hard drive sizes.

Some Dish Network DVR support moving of TV programs to an external USB 2.0 hard drive. The ViP 622 has this feature and they support up to 750GB hard drives. However, this doesn't let you read the drive on a PC and copy these files somewhere else such as DVD.

This is also supported on the ViP722 as well. However, you can't record directly to the external drive but you can move video to it and play directly from the drive. You can use multiple external drives on the same Personal Video Recorder or PVR.

Usually, the Emergency alert would be broadcast on one of your local channels. If you are referring to a possible weather issue, you could tune into TWC- The Weather Channel, which can be found on channel 214.

You can address the remote to your receiver using the steps below!

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.

2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.

3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.

4.) Press the pound (#) button.

5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.

6.) Test remote and see if works.
