Of course they can. Some were evil, but I think people mainly portray them all as evil is because they just look scary. Not every dragon that ever came to be was some manslaughtering freak. I think they attack people because they just want to be left alone, not because they hate us. In fact, the first writen language talked about how two dragons fought, the good one won, and he created earth. Dragons are just as smart as people, and they would have an actual reason for attacking people. And yes, I believe dragons exsist. Call me what you will.

Typically they look like very large lizards with arrow-head tails and wings. There are also some kinds that look more serpentine: literally look like giant snakes with 2-4 short legs and sometimes tiny wings. Some types have no legs, such as amphitheres, though they might have once had legs. Wyverns are more bat-like: 2 legs and bat wings with little clawed fingers insteadd of arms. Marsupials have 2 large legs like kangaroo legs, tiny wings, tiny arms, and a pouch. Some dragons also have feathers instead of scales.

I would just like to add that dragons in mythology are generally accredited with having a huge intelligence. This is most likely because they can live for many thousands of years and often have a lot of time to think about things and, over the years, the become wise and smart. However I do have to agree with Dabec because they haven't been proven to exist yet.

Dragons are often known for being powerful, fearsome and undefeated by many. They are also known for being the evil being hated by many. They can be viewed as greedy, since dragons in literature often hoarded a treasure. Thus, if you believe that it could be a sign, you could take it to mean that you should avoid being greedy, or that you should beware of others who are greedy. It could mean that you should beware of an enemy (the knight in shining armor.) Or it could mean that you are being watched over, like a dragon watches and guards his treasure.

There are many "meanings" that could be read into this, but you should not be too hasty to believe all of it, as some people would read something totally ridiculous and impossible into it.

1. If your dragon is of the Cold Drags or lower Families it means he has a serious infection.
2. If your dragon is a Weir Dragon its just his poison drool leaking-out. Tell him shape-up and take more care of his appearance.
   
3. If you dragon is a Sore Dragon then its his Asphalt Vitreous leaking-out and failing to decompose. This could be a sign of a significant ammonia deficiency. You should buy him some high nitrated fertilizer.
4. If you dragon is a True Drag. Then it is his Aerosol Combustive failing to ignite. Your dragon is probably suffering from a serious Heavy Metal deficiency. It's far past time for him to raid some treasure horde and consume the contents.

If you're referring to a "western" dragon (what we normally think of), they would normally eat meat. How you got to feeding one, I don't know, because dragons are extremely cautious of people because of the mass slaughter we did to them in the middle ages. Dragons do NOT eat humans. They serve the earth. Now, if you're talking about a dragon's spirit-fire inside of a vessel serving as their body, they don't have to eat anything...though, since I can breathe life into them and have quite a few as members of my family, they do seem to like sugar. They tend to eat enough of it to be bouncing off the walls for about a day (that's 3 tablespoons). I have no idea how they get into it, but I have a "no fire in the house" rule...that's the only rule they seem to obey when hyper.

But yes, if you feed the dragon any kind of meat, I'm sure he/she will be grateful. They're extremely powerful and wise, so be nice. I'm deadly serious...you can learn all sorts of things from those dragons.

As for Asian dragons, I would assume they'd eat the same thing, since because of their low population numbers, they'll find a more flexible menu. But still, they never, EVER eat humans.

Diet: both enjoy milk ( for the western dragon it makes it drunk and sleepy so people can kill it).

Based on the stories, the fruit was from fire breathing dragons. Whenever the dragons breathe fire, the tail of the fire was a fruit . When the dragon was slain, the fruits were collected and was given to the emperor. The dragon that breathed the fruits were eaten by the soldiers and believed that they got the strength of a dragon.
