Hi, I just came back from the fabric district yesterday. I got some material to make a duvet for my daughter's king size bed. You need 11 yards according to an employee at Michael Levine's in Los Angeles.
My first choice for partnering with a purple cardigan would be a grey. However, depending on the shade of purple, you could also use a navy. White and black are also safe choices, but again, it depends on the shade of purple.
Skirts are made in many different materials. They can be made from cotton, wool, denim, polyester, etc.
A hula dancer wears usually...:
MAN) Grass skirt, lei necklace, lei headband, bead jewelry
WOMAN) Grass skirt, lei necklace, lei headband, bead jewelry, flower earrings (fake flowers) or real flowers for hair ornaments. In some places the woman dancer might wear some kind of breast covering.
It depends on the style of the skirt. A snug mini-skirt, for example, uses much less fabric than one of those full circle skirts that comes down past your knees and billows out around your waist when you spin in a circle.
The best way to figure this out is to find a pattern for the specific skirt that you want. Each pattern has a table telling you how much fabric you need.
You can see a table that summarizes data from hundreds of patterns on this blog: http://afterthedress.blogspot.com. Look for the skirt link in the right hand column, near the top of the page.
Good luck!
you can buy them from john Lewis or the dance/school shop in ashford
Ladies' skirts can be purchased at clothing stores. Some of these stores are Target, JC Penney, Marshalls, and American Eagle Outfitters. Ladies' skirts can also be purchased online at the websites of these stores.
Don't let her wear skirts or make her wear shorts or leggings under skirts otherwise you could buy skorts(skirt with built in shorts) for her.
Knee length denim skirts have become widely popular, simply going to almost any apparell store will net you knee length denim skirts, but there is a website devoted to denim skirts, called, denim skirts.
Depending on which stores you go to shop for them.
I'd say about $10 bucks or less in the thrift shops and in the more wealthy stores it be about $15 bucks.
Take Forever 21 for example. Now that's a welathy store with pricey labels on there clothing.
But in thrift shops you get them for a bargain but also you have to wash them first before wearing them and i am sure you know that. lol
For a 12 year old, maybe Limited Too, Old Navy, GAP, Esprit, Abercrombie Kids, and 77Kids (By American Eagle).
But if you wanted something a little larger than maybe Hollister, Pacsun, GAP, Old Navy, Abercrombie & Fitch, Zara, Esprit etc.
1 Timothy 2:9 "Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire." Apostolic women choose to dress modestly by wearing skirts for two main reasons. One, slacks, despite how loose or form-fitting they are still show more of the contours of the body than a skirt would. Skirts are inherently more modest for this reason. I believe the second reason is drawn from another verse.
“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God." People are quick to point out that long ago when these verses were written men's and women's garments both resembled those of long dresses, despite the fact that there were still differences between them. However, it is firmly believed by Christians that God's word is final and does not ever become outdated. It's actually quite simple, according to our culture today it is not "standard" to see a man in a dress. Men wear pants because that is what society deems a man's garment. Our social norms tell us that skirts are for women, therefore by wearing skirts, apostolic women are strictly wearing a woman's garment. So apostolic women choose to wear skirts for both modesty and obedience to God's word.

Usually, white quinceanera dresses are used for wedding by some brides. Besides, sweet 16 dresses can be made in different colors. Any color is okay with you as long as you like. It is better for you to take your eye color, and skin tone. I think Red is perfect for girls.
I have the same question - I have heard that I shuld hand-wash and twist dry or roll the shirts, but neither sounde logical.

The tutu type skirt is tulle. it doesnt necessarily have to be a pallet (the kind that stick flat out) type, it can be layed down.
Not all cheerleaders wear pleated skirts. Some like the look when the girls dance, and the movement you get.
A skirt is an article of clothing traditionally worn by women and girls. It begins at the waist and has fabric coming down toward the ground. They can be any lenght. For pictures, google it.
Traditionally, the natives who wore grass skirts wore nothing under them. However a person nowadays has the option of wearing under pants such as a thong, bikini bottom or even shorts. Wear whatever you are comfortable wearing.
It depends. If she wants to wear one to show off her "stuff", I would say no. But if it is for something like panty lines, that's different, I'd say yes. Just tell her to make sure it does not show (don't want to look trampy).
