I would think that Drew Brees is a good role model because he is a very successful football player in the National Football League. He has great relationships between his family and his teammates with many friends and everything that he has also. You should do more research on his successes in life and that would tell how great of a role model he is. Plus, he is a role model for having several charities.
He's also impressive as a role model for the way he's handled and overcome adversity, both personally (his mother's 2009 suicide) and professionally (potentially career-ending injury). The man doesn't seem to know the meaning of "give up." Bravo!

its for Grip. Quarterbacks lick their fingers because its gives em more grip 2 the pigskin on the ball. some players don't even lick their finger. and some, like colt brennan, just wipe it with a towel. some like Peyton manning lick it and rub their fingers together. 2 me, that works the best. Some wipe sweat off their faces for the same effect. Supposidly the full maneuver is to lick the fingers, then wipe them on the towel. That way, you get the extra tack without the fingers being slippery. One problem is, if youre going to lick your fingers, you have to do it before every snap, not just the ones on which youre about to throw. Otherwise, the defense will notice you doing it and know the coming play is a pass.
AnswerQuarterbacks lick their fingers because the moisture helps them grip the ball better. They do it more during cold games because the ball gets harder. He probably has a special place in his heart for both teams since he did play for San Diego at one point in his career, but since he is currently the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, he more than likely likes that team more.
