Well it's just another form of body piercing, quite a bit more involved and riskier than the average body piercings. The purpose, well none actually, they do look cool on the right people. But again it's not for every one and does carry some pretty serious health risks not to mention life long scarring.

The value of a diamond depends on its cut, its clarity, its colour and its carat weight.

I know personally, that as Apostolic Pentecostals, we do not wear jewelry of any kind except for purity rings, wedding rings, and watches. Other branches of pentecost may, but we do not.

i too was looking for an answer to this question and here's why:

last friday and gf and i were at pittsburgh arts fest when an old rockstar looking fellow walked by and my gf told me "whoa, that was gene simmons"

he had a cross earring in each ear. i've been looking for a picture of him with the earring to make sure, but i've been unable to locate one. so if my lady's sighting is correct, yes, gene simmons has earrings.

I wouldn't recommend it, but it can be done. Three years ago, I actually did, and it turned out great. I still have it to this day.

Since you wouldn't be using a sterile, brand new needle, you need to make sure that you clean the earring as best as you can. Rubbing alcohol, a lighter, and boiling water will do the trick. Also make sure you know that you won't have an allergic reaction to the earring. A piercing earring would be the best choice.

Well that's where washing the piercing daily is important, get into the shower and rinse the piercing under warm running water. This will loosen the dried matter and then you can remove the ring. Washing the piercing is a daily thing and needs to be done like any good personal hygiene step.

Well, this is because some women prefer bigger types of earrings based on their personalities. Some like smaller ones. Everyone is different. :)

Your piercing is an open wound. If you don't keep something in it to keep it from healing then it will close up and you will have to get another piercing. Even after they've healed your skin is constantly making new skin cells, so if you leave your earrings out for a couple of months your skin will fill up the hole with new skin cells and it will close up again.

You should leave an earring in until the lobe is no longer reddened or crusty/infected. You should wear an earring frequently for a while after...

Well if the piercings are over a year old then it shouldn't be too bad, but be sure you clean and maintain your jewellery properly. The same applies to your piercings be sure to wash them and look after them so the tissue stays healthy and happy. Piercings under a year old should be cleaned daily and the changing should be kept to a minimum to avoid tearing the fine tissue the body has worked hard to form.

If you get your piercings done by a professional body piercer there is no risk that an earring will become embedded. Piercing guns are the only reason studs become embedded in piercings, that's why professional body piercers hate piercing guns so much. Piercing guns are used by people with no knowledge of the bodies ability to heal, and therefore they care less about your piercing or your health. it's just a pay cheque to them. See a professional body piercer who will use jewellery designed to work with you and your personal style while still caring about you and your piercing.

You are trying to fix too big a stud in too small a hole. now you need to treat the piercing like a new piercing for a few weeks till the tear in the piercing heals.
