How does your earring back go in your ear lobe?
If the back has fallen into your ear canal you might be able to remove it by flushing the canal with warm water. Fill the ear and tilt the head to drain it onto a cloth or towel so you can see if the object flushed out. If that didn't work, some warm sweet oil (see your pharmacist) may be helpful in getting it to un-adhere from the ear wax.
If flushing with water or oil doesn't work, you need to see your health professional. If you start probing, swabbing and fishing you will likely damage your eardrum or impact it deeper into the canal.

Are hypoallergenic earrings nickel free?
Oh gosh no, Hypoallergenic is a phrase that has been misused by everyone from toilet paper companies to makeup manufacturers. It was intended to imply that the product is considered safe for it's intended use and that it should not cause any adverse reaction to the body. This implication is more often than not incorrect when it comes to earrings and nickle. Of the shelf earrings from just about any store will contain nickle in the post or hook section that actually runs through the piercing as well as the butterfly backing that holds it in place. Generally 303 or 304 stainless steel still contains nickle, which are the metal types used most often in earring studs and posts. For a material to be nickle free it is suppose to be clearly marked "nickle free" and the certification proving it. Professional Body Piercing Studios carry a wide range of certified nickle free earrings in various designs to choose from.

How long do you disinfect earrings?
Soaking the jewellery in 70% Isoproply alcohol for 30 minutes will disinfect them quite well, you can also do a two stage disinfection, soak the earrings in Hydrogen Peroxide for 5 minutes, rinse them off and then into 70% ispoproyl alcohol for 25 minutes. Now keep in mind this only disinfects them this does not sterilize them, to sterilize the jewellery you would need to put it into an autoclave at 115 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes at a pressure of 15 ~ 18 Psi. I always run 130 degrees for 30 minutes at 35 Psi just to be sure. Now disinfection does not mean the jewellery can be worn by someone else, just you. If the jewellery is to be worn by anyone else you need to sterilize it, not disinfect it. Bacteria and other micro organisms can live in small fissures and cracks in the jewellery finish, only the high heat and pressure of an autoclave will kill the bacteria and micro organisms that can cause infections.

Can you pierce your eyebrow with an earring?
If you're talking about piercing your own eyebrow with an earring, then probably not. It's not sharp enough to pierce the skin. You need a sterilized needle. However, it's not recommended to give yourself piercings on your own unless you are a professional. Infection is more likely and so is the chance of screwing up. If you're asking about putting in an earring into where you've had your eyebrow pierced (instead of a different form of body jewelery) than it's not too hard as long as it's big enough. Just make sure you clean it before taking it from one piercing to the next.
What do you do when your earrings get infected with lumps?
It's possible that those lumps are little cysts that occur for some people when they get their ears pierced. They are hard, skin-colored bumps that pop up above the skin and essentially don't go away. They might also be cysts that stay inside, and you can just feel the by pressing your fingers softly against that part of the ear.
In both of those cases, it's ok and there's n ot much to do; they may go away and they may not.
If they are lumps filled with pus, it is definitely an infection. You should probably take out the earring and keep the area very clean until the infection goes down. You may even want to visit a doctor to make sure it's not more serious.

Can you change earrings before 6 weeks?
Of course you can. I changed my first ones after 13 days.
All you need is a good astringent and cotton buds.
First of all, I poured a little distilled witch hazel into a small bowl (this is the astringent I used). I then soaked the earrings I wanted to change to in the witch hazel while I swabbed the front and pack of my current earrings with it.
Then I took the earrings I had in out, swabbed the back and front of the exposed holes in witch hazel and slipped the new ones that had been soaking in. It's a good method because I then know a little amount of the astringent is getting into the hole and helping to keep it clean.
DO NOT use saline solution to clean your piercings or earrings with! It is NOT anti-bacterial and it WILL NOT CLEAN ANYTHING. Sea salts are good for helping to heal, but they are not anti-bacterial either. Don't use normal table salt either as this contains iodine that WILL NOT help the healing process.
