Are you allowed to take an earring out after piercing a cardilage?

If you want the piercing to close up, then yes, take it out. If you want to keep the piercing and avoid pain or infection then it is best to leave the same earring in for at least two months, after that you can change freely between earrings. If the original earring is causing problems (ie. seeming too long, or too short) then go back to your piercer for advice.

Can you change your earring two weeks after piercing?

It is best to wait until the scar tissue Tube thickens enough so that it is not damaged by being Torn due to a poorly made piece of cheap jewelery, which often has a sharp bur on the end of the hook that does the damage. The test is to drag the item across your bottom lip as it is sensitive enough to let you know if the item is smooth enough to glide through without problems. Some antiseptic cream is good to use as a lubricant at this time.

The time that a person should wait for this is 6 weeks. Even that is a bit short.

The biggest problem is not using Surgical steel or Gold at this time, as there is acid in the healing wet area that causes a reaction with Chrome or anything with too much Tin in it, such as so called White Gold.

Sterling Silver also can cause a reaction in some people as the Copper content can greatly increase the healing period and also cause oxide poisoning.

My advice is be patient, you have the rest of your life to wear fancy doo - Dars.

6 or 8 weeks will fly past fast enough. Be on the safe side and avoid infections and especially metalic reactions, which are guaranteed to cause considerable pain; yeah, enough pain to make you take out the offending junk you put there, and never be able to put anything back through because of the pain. So the hole seals up and you have to do it all again; and you will have a plug of scar tissue hindering the proceeding the next time around, which can force the new piercing to be in the wrong position cosmetically, as the new piercing will not go through that lump of a previous disaster. AND I bet you that after a nasty experience like that, you will heed my advice the second time around.

On the bright side, this is an opportunity to go shopping and buy some good quality accessories, it doesn't matter if they are expensive, you have time to pay them off, and tape them to your calender (in a plastic pouch). Don't bother about counting the days, just live your life till the day arrives. Then lube them up and glide them in pain free, with no regrets.

Why do you have to turn your earrings?

When you first get earring, you should twirl your earrings while they are in your new ear piercing because your skin may ''glue'' to your earring and it will be difficult and painful to separate the two.
